This is what insidehoops had to say about the rockets draft
    Houston
    ------------
Out of all the Rockets' draft picks -- Yao Ming (No. 1), Bostjan Nachbar (No. 15), and Tito Maddox (No. 55) -- I think Maddox will turn out to be the best. And all he'll ever be is a guard off the bench, if that. Honestly, I hope Ming proves me wrong, because the NBA desperately needs another worthy center. I just don't think he will.

    ---------
Personally i think thats is BS. Ming has brought back excitement to houston basketball and at worst will be a servicable starting center for years. Nachbar is going to be a good one. Maybe not Peja good but at the least a Hedo. I think most of these guys are going to be suprised when they see how well the team plays next year.

Another writer on insidehoops.com called it a "great draft night" for Houston. It goes from person to person.

Something I think that is interesting is the backlash that has happened against international players and I think a lot of it was Kenny Smith's constant harping on it during the draft.

Nevermind that Dirk Nowitzki, Pau Gasol and Peja Sojakovic are three of the league's top players. Hell, even Tim Duncan is from the Bahamas!

I've read half a dozen or so opinions on how US-born players are being penalized by the drafting of foreign players. Even a New York Times writer came within a hair of calling the drafting of so many foreign players racist.

Mostly, I think it is lack of education on the subject. Guys I know - black, white, Asian, Latino, etc - who know basketball all agree that this was a great draft. The rest should be immaterial.

They don't know anything more than most people on this site. I bet more than a handful of senior members from this site are more knowledgeable than most of the writers grading the Rockets!

Notice how that "knowledgeable" writer picked the American player over the foreign players. I'm guessing he doesn't know ANYTHING about Nachbar nor Ming.

In terms of skill alone, Nachbar probably allready has much better fundamentals and ability than 95% of the players in the draft.
