The little b*stard saw his shadow today. Six more weeks of this crap? Ugh. I'm sick of this weather. I'd take freezing conditions if only I could just see the sun again. http://apnews.myway.com/article/20050202/D880DNMG0.html PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (AP) - Punxsutawney Phil has spoken, and the news isn't good. The world's most famous furry forecaster saw his shadow Wednesday on Gobbler's Knob, suggesting another six weeks of wintry weather. The chubby critter delivered the prediction after he was pulled from his burrow in an oak stump at 7:31 a.m. by a top-hatted handler, and his prediction was greeted by boos from the thousands in attendance. "He's only the messenger!" one of the members of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club - the volunteer group in charge of Phil and the town's Groundhog Day festivities - reminded the crowd braving the frigid weather.
The good news....740 AM said that a thorough analysis of Puxatawney Phil's predictions show that he is correct only 41% of the time. THERE IS HOPE!!!!
Well The most interesting thing about Groundhog Day is the movie How much does anyone really believes that stuff anyway
****ing groundhogs is illegal. Sorry, Faos, but that's part of the whole, you know, social contract part of being an American.
C'mon... don't you get it? Groundhog just goes online in his underground LAIR and checks cnn.com and weather.com to make sure he's got the FORECAST down, then he "sees or doesn't see his shadow" to fit the forecast... you gotta be BLIND not to see it... GET IT? BLIND...? MOLE??? Oh, never mind... :badjokesmileygoeshere:
