Ok...this is weird. but where would i go to learn about information technology? I want to learn about it, but have no clue what it really is or what companies that provide this service do. thanks
email me your address and i can send you all my textbooks. i was required to take 3 courses in info tech i hated it so much
Noone really knows what IT means. It's just a BS term for any business problem solved by some nerd in a cubicle writing a piece of software while some other nerd sets up a machine for it to run on...while some other nerd may make some graphics for the software....while some other nerd sets up a database for it to run against...while some other nerd manages the networked environment it runs in...while some other nerd sets up the security it needs to run. It encompasses all that and more. It's whatever has to do with information and technology. Be a nerd! Join IT! It's fan-bloody-blue-screen-tastic!
And some nerd comes up with an asinine description for the entire process. j/k Nerds are teh r0X0r5!1!111! try www.slashdot.com
Run away, run very far away. Everyday in my cubicle prison where I explain the wonders of how the number pad only types numbers if the NUM LOCK is on, I think how I should have explored another career.
im asking because i think i have a good idea for a business to start that involves IT technology. is it really that bad?
It really depending on what type of business you are trying to start. Some are more technical than the others, and you might have to go to a 4 years college to learn the process.
If it's a good business idea and you're a good business person, don't bother and just hire or partner with someone in IT.
Dang it... stole my "you dumbass, you redundantly repeated again once more" thunder. IT is just anything related to computer in a company. WTF, man... you said your toaster doesn't work...? Well, does it have a computer? We'll fix it.
Got me! haha, i noticed that after i posted. but yes. information technology technology is what im interested in
IT moves too fast by the time you learned enough to figger out how to impliment your plan...someone will have already done it or it wont be needed anymore. IF you got a good head for business, find a partner that does know IT and see if you can fill a need. gotta say tho...there isnt a whole lot about the IT business that hasnt already been done...so good luck with that.
