Is Glen Davis blossoming into a star? Impressive game tonight.

I recall the Rockets were deciding between him and Carl Landry at the draft. Landry has put up better numbers in his career and Davis has really had great numbers in the regular season but the Baby is improving.

No hes not blossoming into a star....hes a product of a winning attitude...winning team....makes him, nate robinson look better, they even play harder.

although Rasheed Wallace is still an idiot..maybe trying too hard

Might not make him a star, but when all is said and done, he'll retire as a sound fundamental player.

A player like that is welcome on my team any day.

Big Baby has benefitted from working under the best big man coaches in the league. If the Celtics had drafted Landry he probably would have been even more impressive.

I told myself I'd see a thread that we "missed out" on Big Baby

    that didnt take long

people forget the Celtics tried to trade him at the deadline

btw, Aldous Snow thinks your thread title is misleading.... :p

He will never be a star, he is too short with too little hops. But I think he can become a fringe starter or 6th man type of guy. He did average 16 ppg taking KGs place in the playoffs last season, not bad for a 2nd year player

With the way he played in the playoffs last year I was surprised no one went after him hard. He might not be a superstar but he the kind of player that helps you win as long as you have superstars to work off of and keep him in check.

    No way.
He has no work ethic and has his priorities all messed up.

Do you know how I know this? It's because hes still fat.

I can't believe this after seeing him get like 3-4 offensive rebounds under the rim with the entire Lakers squad surrounding him. He hustles on the floor, and maybe he's getting too big for his britches (figuratively). There was a play where he either got a steal or a quick outlet pass at halfcourt and Tony Allen had open lane to the basket. Instead of a pass, Davis tried to push the break himself.

If he signed a one year deal he would defenitley get much more than 3 mil he's getting now ..
He's a role player or a third or fourth option on a contender ..
