The first row is for 2010-11 and the next is this season:
    [IMG][IMG]

    * There are 13 less players in the NBA averaging 50% or more FG than last season.
    * Luis is down from 24th highest FG% to joint 25th.

    These numbers include forwards only:

*Luis has improved from 19th highest FG% among forwards to joint 14th.

Nene has been injured this season. He hasn't played enough games to be among the "qualified players" on Yahoo's stats rankings. Here are his numbers:

I assume you're underlining Pau for a reason.

To be fair to him, he's been forced to take a hell of a lot of mid range jumpers (which aren't really his forte) and surrender the post to Bynum.

****ty management and coaching tends to do these things.

All all of them have gone slightly down, but how much of that can be qualified because of the type of season that we are having (i.e., compressed) and their age?

The problem I have with Scola is the turnovers not the shooting percentages.

I have a problem with both because they're not as good because of his ineffectiveness in the post on offense.

A lot has been made about the change of the way the game is called affecting Martin, but it affects Scola, too. He's getting fewer of his flops called, and that means more misses. His FTAs are down from 3.9/game last year to 2.6/game this year. If you assume that 3/4 of his FTAs come from shooting fouls (conservative), that means that 0.44 FGA/game this year wouldn't have counted last year. If you just subtract those FTAs from his numbers, his FG% goes up to 50.6%, right in line with his career numbers.

I am more concerned with the rebounding allergy he developed over the offseason...he looks like a T-Rex trying to corral in a rebound out there sometimes...
