Indian young man and friends shot dead in drug deal gone wrong

    I know this guy's parents and sister but had no idea he was into transporting drugs. I feel sorry for his family BUT when you get involved with drug dealers these kind of consequences come with the territory: only two ways it ends, prison or death. Makes no sense to me why someone whose dad is a PhD and comes from a well to do family would get involved in transporting weed. Anyway here's the story.

    Authorities have released the names of two of three men shot to death during an apparent drug-related robbery in west Houston earlier this week.

    The three men were fatally shot at the Idlewood condominium complex, in the 10000 block of West Park, early Monday after returning from a road trip with a rental vehicle used to tranport mar1juana to Houston

    Killed were Balraj Dulai Singh, 30, who lived in the condo where the shooting occurred, and Justin Colby Eaton, 27, of Houston. Both were shot several times and died at the scene, police said.

    The identity of the third man, who was shot and later died at an area hospital, has not been released.

    According to investigators, as Singh, Eaton and the third man entered Singh's condo, two other men approached them. One of them pulled out a gun and fired at the the trio inside the unit.

    The two men then are believed to have sped away in a 1990s, gray four-door Chevrolet Suburban being driven by an accomplice. They took an unknown amount of mar1juana from the victims.

    Police said it appeared the attackers had been waiting in the parking lot for Singh and the others to arrive. No description of the attackers was available.

    Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Houston Police Department Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

    Reading between the lines, I'm assuming that da1 is Indian and knows his family. That's the way he identifies with the story.

    I love Indian people. They are so pragmatic.

    Why does it seem like Sikhs are more likely than other Indians to be involved in this sort of thing? I was reading an article about how this sort of violence is commonplace in British Columbia, Canada. :confused:

    Another reason why mar1juana should be leaglized. If tax and regulated, drug dealers will no longer control the market. So that means they won't be able to profit the billions that mar1juana brings in and senseless violence over mar1juana would drastically decreased.

    I'll say this, most people sell mar1juana because they can. There is a huge market for it. It isn't in the same territory as slangin' crack or other hard drugs so that's why you even have kids who have wealthy parents, that sell mar1juana. Until something changes, stories like this will keep happening. We can't keep letting these criminals control the market and profit all that money.

    Not that I'm saying it should be legal.

    then why shouldn't it be legal? people wouldn't get shot over something they could just go to the store and pickup...
