Didn't see a thread for the game. After the Texas game, I gave in and finally started slightly believing in Aggie football again. I'm really worried that they're pulling a "Texans" on me, getting me excited and then letting me down in the harshest of fashions. I haven't really watched Georgia this year, but I've heard that they're a tough match up. Can anyone give insight on their style of play, strengths, weaknesses, etc? So, who ya got?
They hate their QB Joe Cox. Their Defense is horrible, but they got rid of their Coodinator Martinez who many said was the problem of the defense not the talent. A.J. Green has been compared to Randy Moss. He is only a sophomore.
It's amusing how a typical SEC offense is capable of making even the worst defense in the Big 12 look legit.
Well, I'm enjoying it. I felt like we actually had a really good season, despite only coming through with 6 wins. We were supposed to get Navy in the Texas bowl, so its nice to see us play a legit SEC team. As far as the game itself goes, who saw this coming? Bizarre. Just had the first TD of the game, and it was exactly the type of drive we needed to get going. Georgia is no slouch, though, so we need to try and keep them discouraged going into the second half.
there was at least 0.5 seconds left when we spiked it. But what do you know, refs helping out the SEC
Wow .. The horns are lucky this officiating crew wasn't at the Big XII championship game or they would not be in the title game. That last play should have been reviewed and the Ags should be kicking a FG. I still say we didn't lose much because we probably couldn't have made it anyway. This game is so painful to watch. The defense is playing great. The offense is not playing bad, but just can't get over that hump, and we end up behind at the half because of our "special" teams ... just unreal.
Eh, this one was close - you're really talking about 0.2 or 0.3 when Johnson spiked it. Time left, sure, but very close. In all honestly, there was at least 1.5 seconds left when McCoy's ball hit the sidelines against Nebraska - it wasn't even debatable. I could see the replay officials claiming that this one wasn't an "egregious" error and thus wasn't reviewable. All that said, of course I think A&M was hosed and deserved to have a second put on the clock. I just don't think those are quite parallel situations and my suspicion is that that will be the excuse used after the game. And yes, this has to be a painful game for A&M, to be losing at the half when your worst unit (defense) is playing this well.
I think the offense is going to start scoring. The run game hasn't been there yet, and I know Gray and Michael are itching for it. Johnson is looking good again. If the defense can keep this up and we can avoid these big plays, we can get right back on top.
idk what you're talking about, he's overthrowing everything. made a couple of nice plays, but the good ol' overthrowing habit is back. It pains me how much we overrate JJ.
This game is pissing me off ... Should be up by 10 and we are down 10. Special teams coach has to be fired at the end of the game
I thought it would be more fitting to fire Kirk Doll in the freaking locker room during half time. Our special teams are ridiculously bad. All 3 Georgia TDs are directly a result of ridiculous special teams play. Oh god I'm so pissed.
we lined up 5 frickin WRs. This is right up there with Kubes calling a half back pass with in the red zone. What the hell was Cromwell thinking?
Jerrod Johnson sucks a$$. His stats are purely a results of the system he plays in. He's the most god awful QB I have ever seen (after JaMarcus Russell). No accuracy whatsoever. overthrows a ******* statue. OMG it pisses me off so much how everyone is on his nuts. He gets all the time in the world and then ends up throwing a piece of $h!t pass that gets intercepted. Oh my god I'm livid.
