Sounds really stupid but the way the clip is cut is suspicious. I'd like to see his full statement not just this clip before I take a serious position.

If we can save JUST ONE LIFE, we should postpone the November general election until November 2022. People could die!

What happen today is an extreme. Online voting doesn't exist and doing that in a quick short notice would be another extreme. The alternatives that make much more sense is mail-in ballots and/or just delay this for a month or two.

Serious question: when was it the last time that an election in the US is held with most polling place closed and people risking their life to vote?

Thanks for posting full video but yall's response is a perfect example of a major issue facing everyone today. I literally said I would like more information before deciding how I feel and I get mocked and attacked for showing nothing but patience and the desire to seek the full truth. What the hell is wrong with you all?!?!?

Regarding the video, my gut was right. What they did in this district was pretty damn impressive if you were still going to hold an election. Drive up voting with all the voting volunteers wearing PPE to protect the voters in the car and themselves. I mean outside of cancelling the election this is the best thing you can do.

Personally, I think we need to live life as normal as possible and want everyone to do what they would like to do if we all wear PPE like they do in Asia. Folks have as normal life as they can wearing PPE. That's the reality we face and Asia figured that out years ago. Americans haven't and that's why the numbers are what they are.

It is true that Asia wearing masks in public is norm and thus when this virus started, they all do it even for those that aren’t sick. But what’s going there now is not norm. While many asian countries have been successful early on with containment with test test test and trace every case approach, they also have severely limited activities - no large group, closing school and many business.

We are way behind here but once we get to see clear sign of improvement, we can start to slowly open up but it won’t be anywhere close to norm. We have to somehow transition from mitigation phase that we are in now to containment phase - and that largely depends on test test test, isolate and trace. Work from home is likely still on-going. There will be little allowance for anyone to work while sick. Local government will have to quickly close down again upon any detection of unknown spread ... etcs. That’s going to be the new norm until we have effective treatment or vaccine.

Given that we may also see a wave 2 in fall/winter, it’s prudent that we should be well prepare for that, including the upcoming election in nov. We don’t have too much time to do it right and it likely won’t happen because one party think they will benefit greatly from a suppressed turnout.

I have mostly heard people and medical experts request that the election be postponed until June or July when it is widely expected that the COVID19 situation is under better control. The fact they are holding it during what the White House says is the worst week for the virus makes it even more stupid.

The idiot going on television in full gear only made it worse... why he agreed to do an interview like that is insane.

It's clear that Republicans don't care about people's safety, they would sacrifice lives in order to get favorable outcome in an election.

It's anti-Democratic and it's just clear that the majority of Republicans see democracy as an inconvenience and want to simply have authoritarian rule by someone like Trump.

If people are not able to vote on election day and Republicans take advantage to win by denying alternative means to vote, there should be revolution and the country should not accept the results.
