I know that I am going to get tourched but I am going to be that we could get a revitalized Stevie Franchise, for nothing more than our trade exception. what do you think? Could he play well with the guys we have here? I know that it is a crazy thought, but why not try this: PG: S. Francis SG: T-Mac SF: Battier PF: JoHo C: Yao Bench: Alston, Bowen, Head, Mutombo, Novak, Lucas, Hayes, and who ever else is on the roster now. I'd like this move more because it would allow us to pick up another player at PF with our MLE.
He makes too much money to get back for the TE, he is a max player, and is the definition of a guy with a horrible contract for his production. DD
Ahhh....nevermind. I didn't know how close the TE needed to be to make this work. How did the Knicks get to that point if there were not huge one sided contract deals? What was Steve traded for?
Hey, umm, Aggie... Umm... hey listen, I have this business proposition for you.. Let me give you forty dollars, and, umm, then you give me five hundred dollars... and, umm, we'll call it even, ok? (just messing with ya.. my Pater was an Aggie, so I have nothing but love for all Ags)
Donny Most, Your sig is very hard to read, but it needs to be seen by all the people here on the BBS. Maybe then they will understand why the number 8 pick is not all that valuable. DD
When you start out your post like this, especially a new one, you might want to hit that little "X" in the top right hand corner of the screen before hitting "Submit"............just some friendly advice.
You guys are giving Aggie 99 an awful hard time. We are talking about Isiah here. We send them the trade agreement, Isiah agrees to pick up the remainder of Steve's salary like oh 11.5 million or so of it. We could throw in a 2nd round pick and tell Isiah on the hush hush that "all the players you like in the draft will be available in the second round anyway". They send us Stevie. I think it could work.
Please try ang get this fact into your thick noggin. Francis will not work with our team . He is a selfish player who refused to pass the ball to Yao Ming.
I'm about to say something I don't think I ever thought I'd say, but I'm not sure that Mike James isn't better than Steve Francis at this point.
Aren't we trying to win now? I don't think this roster has enough talent to compete with top notch teams yet, even with the addition of Mike James. Look at the Miami Rosters, they have Walker, JWill, that is talent right there. I don't think we have enough assets to get Steve Francis, but I certainly wouldn't oppose a deal with the Knicks if we have a chance of landing him.
