We are not getting wind of ANYTHING from the insiders as far as moves. Looks like JVG is trying to take all of the blame for this unmotivated team all by himself. Doesn't look like Les will do anything about JVG or CD during the regular season.

This team has huge holes at the 1 & 4, and is treading water as our playoff spot chances decrease...

Objectively, I don't see how these guys will either a.) gel or b.) <other than TMac & Yao> somehow play above themselves all of a sudden.

    :(

Is anyone else this bummed out by what's going on? Is this what you expected? The Rockets seem like a ship adrift...

Going to the games is barely worth it now, despite the fact that I dropped a good amount of coin to get into 2 lower bowl Tmac pack seats...

Rerun's got some size - maybe he could fill our hole at the 4.

Oh crap, he's dead isn't he...

I don't feel like the point guard spot is an issue. The trio of Sura, Ward and AB will get the job done. When Sura gets his legs and Ward returns from the IR... we will be fine.

Nothing is going to change in regards to our PF except for the way that they are used. We need to give more time to Spoon and Padgett as our current fearless twosome are not working.

I'm not disturbed at all. The ROckets still own in NBA Live 05. :)

I use pick and rolls..Tmac just uses Yao's great picks and goes straight to the basket..attacks it. Mo and Juwan do dirty work..Yao does most of the reboudning and defense (sora like an anchor like Dikembe). Sura and Barrett set the offense up..give it to Yao..who converts. Defense is good. Jimmy and Padgett make the 3's. Ward makes 3's. Sura makes open 3's..but Tmac is the best. He can score from anywhere. He's simply amazing. And Yao is dominant inside. Our guys hustle. They go after loose balls. They aren't boring. They are smooth.

    :p

I think Ward is a good shooter. That means we need a hustler like Bowen at the 3 to hustle and bring lots of energy. Or we can have Sura and Barrett as our energy guys at the 1 and have a shooter at the 3. Mike Miller, Shane Battier, James Posey, Gordan GIricek, they all sound good.

Ward, Sura, and Barrett can split the time..especially since Sura's still not fully recovered and Barrett seems to deserve to play cuz he gives us energy and some speeddddddd.

I did not expect my sad ruminations to devolve into a thread about Rerun & NBA video games...

yeah i agree. ward might be our best shooter of all our point guards (as sad as that is). He might not be starter material but he can still give us a few mins off of the bench (I would still like Barett to get the majority of the mins behind Sura).

We need to give Spoon some mins at PF. I was hoping to see him in the last blowout loss but JVG stuck with Mo when the game was already lost. :(

I've already expressed my desires for a team shakeup. I don't like the coach, and I don't like how the roster is designed. I wanted Ray Allen. The Rockets got TMac. I wanted shooters. The Rockets lost Cuttino and signed Sura. It's too late now. The Rockets can only score points via the uptempo route, and that is why Yao is the odd man out.

It is the holiday season, so gifts will be exchanged in the next few weeks. Jeff Van Grumpy has been naughty this year so the Rockets will probably get nothing but coals in their stockings, but he will still collect his paycheck and continue to be Grumpy into the new year.

I would like to see a big trade go down to complete the transformation of this team to an uptempo team.
