Well, this day has finally come. Let the festivities begin! Once the hoopla is done today, FIX THE ECONOMY OBAMA!
Not so fast -- Bush/ Cheney could declare Martial Law -- there was just a massive geese attack ... there could be more.
The line at the train station is crazy. Can you imagine maybe up to two million people trying to get there?
It's just insane there. I was watching CNN this morning. They were saying some people started lining up at 3AM in the morning. Geez!! It's freezing there. It was nice to see people in high spirits. That's what we need now. I'm tired of hearing negative stuff so it's a nice change to see something positive and historic!
Any chance Obama wears a kilt to honor his heritage, like the Scottish Conservative Party has asked him to do?
I was working at the Convention Center yesterday setting up for about half of the 10 official Inaugural Balls. One of my closest friends is off to the Commander-in-Chief Ball tonight. I'm a big hypocrite. I thought it was crazy to go to this thing in these crowds and weather, and then late last night, I was catching inauguration fever. I have friends who live literally 10 minutes by foot from the Capital Building and I was going to crash there last night and go with them, but the wife was like "are you crazy?". So I decided to sleep. It looks like everyone there is having a blast though. That's me in one of the Ball areas of the Convention Center.
They call me Darkness. And people really haven't gone this crazy about an inauguration before. That's why there's all the news coverage and hoopla, because it's The Obama inauguration.
I'm watching on cnn.com, but I turned off the facebook thing. I couldn't honestly care less about anyone's status.
I left my friends status thing up. I had no interest in everyone else's status. I like the stream though.
Quick question. Im at work.....I know just about every site known to mankind will be streaming this event. Who's got the best, clearest live feed of this event. Right now, I would think one of the major national news services would....just asking though just in case there is a better option Idont know about.
That would be a big NO for me... My company in all its brilliance told us they disabled all streaming video today in anticipation of Inauguration Day. And then they encouraged us to watch it during our lunch break on the non-existent TVs in our non-existent break rooms. W.T.F. Y'all lemme know how it goes. I'll have to youtube it this weekend.
