The songs really suck ass, except for "Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky, Mike, Ralph and Johnny (Word to the Mutha!)", which will always be the proverbial shiznit.
iPod is normally on shuffle, but I've been listening to Jane's Addiction - Ritual De Lo Habitual recently.
Right now it's some "Anti Bush propaganda". It's his speech about Home Land Security with the National Anthem in the background. Yes, the speech is butchered and the quotes are taking out of context but it's still funny and scary. I would post some examples but that would just turn this into a D&D thread. I wish I knew who is singing the national anthem. She has a pretty voice.

I normally have my music library on shuffle but Ima Drummers 80's band thread got me thinking about a band I loved in the late 80's early 90's from Austin, The Reivers. I always saw them when they came to town and played Fitzgeralds. They were awesome live. Today I'm listenting to Translate Slowly, Saturday, and Pop Beloved. I must have misplaced their other cd. Anyone else here remember them?
I feel like you're taking pity on me with that Katies in there, RM. Burden Brothers - "Buried in Your Black Heart" Queen - "Queen" "Queen II" "Sheer Heart Attack" "A Night at the Opera" "News of the World" "The Game" "Jazz" "Live Killers" Aerosmith - "Rocks" Sweet - "Desolation Boulevard" Billy Joel - "The Stranger" David Bowie - "Diamond Dogs" Bruce Springsteen - "The Wild, the Innocent, and the E Street Shuffle"
There's a pretty cool dance song on DDR Max 2 that is a remix of the original Gradius theme... Well, I'm currently going in alphabetical order through all my CDs and burning selected songs onto my hard drive at work, so today I had four of them in the CD Player Beastie Boys - Hello Nasty Beastie Boys - Licensed to Ill Beck - Mellow Gold Beck - Odelay Tomorrow, it's Cake time!
"Wild Billy's Circus Story"! A friend of mine who is one of the hugest Springsteen fans on the planet used to work security at the Compaq Center. That song is his all time favorite Springsteen song. When the Boss played there in 2000, he worked security for the soundcheck. He cornered Springsteen and told him he would give anything to hear him play Wild Billy's Circus Story at the Compaq that evening. Springsteen laughed and said..."well, we haven't played that one in a really long time, but we just might have to dust it off sometime soon". Never played it, and I don't think they've played it on stage in at least 30 years!
Coldplay Live Incubus Morning View Dave Matthews Some Devil Audioslave Red Hot Chili Peppers Greatest Hits (IE, mostly the wimpy stuff from the late 90's and early 2000's)
The Mars Volta cd is the most amazing cd ive ever heard. That was in my player for like 3 months straight but i stopped listening to it cause I didnt want it to get burned out. They are by far my favorite band, along with At the Drive in.
These threads never get old.. Danzig IV Eagles Greatest Hits Also, I'm going to check out two new (to me) artists that I've heard a few songs from that sound great. Devics and Lucinda Williams. Anyone heard of these artists and can offer any comments/suggestions?
Is A Pefect Circle any good? I remember liking tool when I used to watch MTV back in college, but I miss out on most new music these days because it's mixed in with so much crap. I was reading about Maynard James Keenan in Wine Spectator this morning. He's quite the cork dork.......has a 2000 bottle cellar and something like two complete Penfold's Grange Magnum verticals. Pretty impressive.
