I know there have been numerous threads about this already, but I am too lazy to dig 'em up... Anyways, all I wanted to know is this: will Houston ever get one? I tried it for the first time a few weeks ago and thought it was great, ten times better than any fast food burger chain we have here.
Jesus, we have this thread every 2 weeks now. The answer is no. In-N-Out will not franchise very far away from its Produce supplier in California. Part of their taste is because they use fresh produce grown right there in California, less time it spends in a truck, the better tasting the food. The furthest In-n-Out I know of from California is in Tucson Arizona. I will be there in about 5 days, I will see if its as good as the others.
I think its very fitting that most people pronounce it "Waterburger" because thats exactly what I thought when I first got one and it was soggy as ****. The ones I had after that were better, but they don't come close to an In-N-Out double-double with fresh onions. Plus In-N-Out fries are cut right in front of you and grilled in pure vegetable oil. None of that grease-trap ****. Texans just don't want to admit that a California has a better burger joint.
Whataburger is garbage, but thanks for the suggestion... And moes, I thought the sauce and the toasted buns had more to do with it than the 'fresh produce'.
There is an In N Out a couple of blocks from my place. It is overrated as hell. No mustard, no jalapenos, no fancy ketchup -> just sloppy burger with some special sauce.
I ate at In-N-Out and thought it was a kiddie-oriented place. Overrun by screaming children, tiny menu, child-like presentation. The burger was ok, but not as good as Whataburger. In-N-Out just has an exlusive perception since they won't leave the West Coast. The rest of you aren't missing anything
The bigtexxx kiss of death! Now you KNOW In-N-Out is the best. Thats awesome. Thanks texxx. You can now go back to desperately trying to expose Obama as a terrorist baby-killing socialist while you laud an inferior hamburger.
I'm with Texx (on this issue only). I don't get the hype over in-n-out burger, it's nothing special at all.
You're an idiot. In and out is on par, cost-wise to Beck's Prime. That said, Whataburger is a must-have for people who like mustard. I always order mine with jalepenos, and it is almost always wonderful. In and out burgers are just what they say. They are in and out in about an hour. I think there might be some Olestra in there. Moes, have your girl look into that. It could be beneficial. Third, Beck's Prime, buck for buck vs. in and out is no contest. Beck's might've taken in and outs strategy, but the usurped it. Done.
Exactly how I felt when I ordered a Whataburger, got charged 8 bucks for a combo, and bit into the soggiest bun I ever had.
1.) bigtexx endorsement 2.) FFB endorsement Wow. If DaDakota could just come in and say In-N-Out sucks, We'll have the hat-trick of the "always wrong" posters. I love it.
I worked in San Jose for about a year and went to In-N-Out about once a week. I think their burgers are far better than Whataburger's. I actually don't like Whataburger burgers at all. I may eat there once a year. The burgers are too dry. In-N-Out burgers are greasier (I like that) and the toppings are fresher. The fries suck though. They have a weird consistency. An In-N-Out burger with McD's fries FTW.
wrong. i was in phoenix last week and got a double double animal style with fries and a coke for $6.03. a burger alone at beck's is 5.95.
It takes a lot courage to be a fast food snob. Also, I believe Whataburger had something on their wrapper about "any way you want it" So I asked if they could put BBQ sauce on it, and they said they couldn't do that. hilarious. But don't we have this argument every 3 weeks?
