A work crisis forced me to fly to the armpit of the midwest (aka Detroit) this evening. I checked into my hotel tonight and noticed a large commotion outside and in the lobby.

Turns out the Lakers are staying here. On the off chance that I run in to Karla, any good ideas on what to do to him?

(and if you're reading this David Stern, I'm just kidding. you don't need to send your secret thugs after me to help ensure the Lakers win the championship)

You should lightly bump into him and see if he falls down out of habit. Watch the elbows though, I don't want you to get an concussion.

Kick him in the knee, maybe it'll rapidly fill up with fluid so it looks like he's walking around with a waterballoon for a kneecap.

I too once had the misfortune of sharing a hotel with Karla and Flopton in Seattle a few years ago. The fire alarms I pulled were well worth the jail time.

Make sure you order room service to kobe's room too.

Malone: [walking in, leaning on Payton] Gary, I'm afraid I won't be able to play tonight. My old gimpy knee has gone akimbo again.
TL: [masked, with a cane] Take that!
[bashes Malone on the leg with a cane, runs off]
Malone: Ooh! Gary...that precision assault popped it back into
    place. Thank you, masked stranger!

Send hookers and madcow-diseased cheeseburgers to Kobe's room.

Just a note for yall in the future. If you find out you will be staying at a visiting teams hotel before a major game...change hotels.

Last night was nothing but people on the street yelling, honking horns, and blaring radios. At some point, I think the cops came out, but it definitely wasn't a good night.

    Pistons fans rock!

You haven't heard much about it, but it really seems like the city has gotten behind the team. Not true as often as you would think in professional sports(See NJ Nets any time they accomplish anything).

I found that hilarious when they mentioned the fans yelling and honking their horns at the hotel. I hope they keep it up.:D

I think that the fans going to the hotel is pathetic. That's almost like cheating.

Exactly, it's people showing the team they believe in them and are behind em 100%.

Shouldn't really mind ZRB, Rockets03, you ought to know by now he's just being his usual negative self. :)

I'm leaving tonight, but I will be back on Sunday morning and staying through next Thursday night. We'll see if my luck holds.
