we have massively huge gaps in our roster... we have 3 PFs... apprently we dont need all of them... we got to get a back up for yao...and we need a starting point. so who are we seriouisly considering going after. i hear talk of daniels, but im sure this is all talk. and the same goes for ostertag. if this is true for both... well that would be awesome. does anyone know whats going on for real. i dont want people's stupid trade ideas.

I keep telling you guys... We're going for the cost-cutting method and bringing back this stud at PG...

As for backup center, I've been told from a reliable source that Patrick Ewing has been pushing to bring in this charmer:

First of all we are going to need all the big bodies we can get to compete. So all 3 PFs will be on the roster next season. Secondly I really do not see any massively big holes that need to be filled. If we do not get a guard, Lue will be our starting PG. Look for the Rox to reup with Mark Jackson to play backup point. We will worry about our PG situation next year. We may not have to considering the possibility of Spanoullis being ready to go next year. The need for a backup center does not sink the ship before her maiden voyage. It's a backup for crying out loud. Yao's gonna play most of the minutes this year anyways. So a cheesy backup for minimum who can chew up maybe 10 minutes a game and deliver some cheap shot fouls could be decent enough. Maybe Anthony "PIG" Miller could comeback. Priority number one is making sure there will be enough money to pay your two franchise players...Yao and Mac.

there are still a lot of players that can help us and both pg and center/foward avaiable. the FA market has cooled a bit and i expect that we will get help for cheap.

I wish I agreed with you, but what about when Yao is in foul trouble? That still happens with regularity. Not to mention that in some instances we'd be better off with a big rebounder/bruiser Cato type playing the 4 and right now we don't even have that option. It's good to have players that can bring different things to the table. It's all about match ups.

I assure that I wouldn't guard him if I was an opposing point guard.
