It seems that Rudy does not think its that important to have a strong bench because he has been playing his starters the whole game. Against the Wizards he played Mobley 45 minutes, Francis 42 minutes, Thomas 43 minutes and Norris 43 minutes. I think it would be much better if he were to give some more minutes to our bench players because the best teams dont need their starters in for the whole game. Griffin only had 20 minutes, Torres only played 10, Morris only played 7 and Willis didnt play at all. If Rudy is playing our starters a ton, thats scary because that means he has no faith in our bench. If thats the case, we have a lot more to accomplish as far as rebuilding the team. By the way, how was the defense in the Wizards game?
The problem is, aside form Moochie or Griffen when they dont start, we have no bench. Oscar Torres would not be coming off any good teams bench for more than 10 minutes, if that. Willis still has some game, but isnt needed for such a crappy team. That's one of the reasons this team will automatically get better when Mo is healthy again. Regardless of who starts, it means you can sub more people in and out and have fresher legs. In the last game Dallas played against us, for example, they played 10 players in the 1st quarter, and Nash had sat out during a 4 minute span and had subbed back in already. It must be nice to have that kind of depth and quality.
