He is full of crap. The 1920's saw the introduction of the most restrictive and xenophobic immigration laws in the history of the USA. Americans during this period positively hated foreigners. He is essentially trying to repackage and sell xenophobia and no immigration as some sort of good thing for immigrants. Hey, I'll admit it. I don't like having signs and labels I can't read and having to interact with people who don't speak the language of the land. Sure the answer is for me to learn Spanish, but I'm so lazy I haven't even learned to type in the standard way. I also feel that when something is good, human beings will pile on till it's just not good any more. There is just no value in having too many people. There is nothing in a city of 5 million people that wouldn't be better in a city of 1 million. There is nothing in a country of 350 million people that wouldn't be better with 200 million. There is nothing in a family of 6 that wouldn't be better in a family of 4. Other than my social security check and lawn service, of course.
