looks like they had already started their ASB early

can’t expect our “franchise player” Sengun to step up in a game like this because he rarely does

Jalen is too erratic and not to be trusted…u don’t know which Jalen will show up on any given night

when your leading scorer is Aaron Holiday, u ought to be ashamed of yourself

As each game of blaming others instead of himself goes by, it's dawning more and more that he isn't the coach which is going to take a good team to be a great team.

The Rockets lack a franchise player that will pull these types of games out. There have been 3-4 games in the last dozen or so games that the Rockets win with a legitimate franchise player.

Harping on it doesn’t change it - but it does explain it. Overall the Rockets play hard, but there are genuine limits to what will happen over 82 games with this roster.

Yeah right Ime, this team has more fight in Tari's pinkie than your entire body. We're known as the team that competes, elite with effort, teams look up to us for the hardworking nature of our players. Ironically, you built the foundation. But of course, it's the players who execute and do the actual work.

This is what Stone and you wanted: in order to score, you have to actually push and shove people and get an offensive rebound as a standard staple of the offense. These are not grizzly vets, these are skinny young players btw. The team has been bad at shooting 1.5 years straight now - at the deadline, you said you were not seriously considering a trade. You could have acquired a shooter and lessened the need for offensive rebounds DIRECTLY. You said no, you're good with the team that has to exert a monumental amount of effort to score 2 points - because it's more important that you accumulate 2 2nd round picks for cash. Don't be surprised if the players grow up and realize there's no logical reason their coach has employed the most labor-intensive offense in the league that is no better than any other offense they can run.

There's no logical reason if a team exerts a historically elite amount of effort during the regular season, it won't result in more fatigue and thus errors. I'll repeat: There's no logical reason if a team exerts a historically elite amount of effort during the regular season, it won't result in more fatigue and thus in-game errors that otherwise would not occur.

The league wasn't born yesterday. Playing 40 minutes has been tried. Going for all the O rebounds has been tried. All of these things have precedents. People tried, things got f*cked, they adjusted to more realistic expectations. Guys who didn't adjust didn't get HC jobs again (JVG). Players got injured, careers ended. These coaches are always just missing that ONE player, that's their excuse always always always. "We did really well with what we had" > this is what they say when they get fired until another coach comes and shows them they had more than they thought. Sadly, you know all this Ime, you played in this league while it was happening. You're just fooling some kids into this. Your Celtics team were vets and they were not having your BS until you actually listened to them mid season rather than clapping over what they're saying.

Of course no one has ever won a title this way, and you can see why if you go watch how badly Kerr tactically outclassed Udoka and his more talented team in the Finals.

Get your sh*t together Ime, I want you to win this title with us. This roster is winning a championship with or without you, there are several coaches who can do it for us. Don't become the coach who does all the background development for the title then gets fired, a players' coach comes in and just listens to the players and wins it all. Don't be Mark Jackson, be Steve Kerr. Don't be Don Chaney, be Rudy T. Don't be JBB, be Kenny Atkinson.

Get so disappointed when this dude comes out and questions their effort when he's put 0 effort into his own development and flaws. Has NEVER IN HIS CAREER shown up offensively till mid season - that's 3 different rosters, you can't blame it on the players anymore. Your teams struggle offensively for over half a season, always. The same group does better after the ASB. What's up with that Ime? Dog ate your homework huh?

When we asked for winning basketball Ime, we weren't asking for the Treadmill variety of winning basketball. We were talking about championship coaching. There's a difference. You're not a rookie, you should know this.

The frustration is that Jalen and Sengun have the talent to be franchise players, but clearly lack that killer instinct. Just seeing those two all giggly on the bench when Jock and Jeenathan were making plays pissed me off. A Kobe or Jordan type of player would have gotten in a brawl with the coach before letting themselves be benched in a game with a team battling you for playoff position, but instead those two looked like they were taking that game about serious as a match of tiddlywinks.

Just indicative of who they are as leaders and competitors…. But both have the talent to be just as good as any star player we could trade for except for the elite of the elite like Wendy, Luka, Jokic, etc.

Very frustrating that we have to make a move this offseason most likely when we shouldn’t need to.

I’m hoping one of our guys can develop into that Franchise Player…as it stands now, we have several players who I dearly love—but who’s ceiling looks to me like a few all-star games and maybe an all-nba 3rd team. And that’s perfectly ok! But those good players need one GREAT player to bring us home.

The playoffs will be a wonderful learning experience for our guys, and maybe it’ll catapult some of their growth into the next echelon.

I feel like it's only a matter of time before Udoka completely loses the locker room if it hasn't already happened.

His schtick only works when you are a REALLY good coach.

This is what you get when you don't have a closer.

Lack of shooting always kills us. Can't have bad spacing and inconsistent post play and expect to compete consistently.

Where is Jaden Springer? Did he actually make it onto the roster?

Nope! he was waived -- incredible.
