.....and the fans not having any say-so. Why can't someone organize a nationwide fan boycott of the NBA and corporations that sponsor it if the lockout isn't finished? We should boycott all NBA merchandise and corporations that sponsor the NBA immediately and send them a message that if it isn' t resolved this week, we are going to boycott a game for every day that they let this drag on, starting Monday. We are way underrepresented and unconsidered in this whole mess and when you get right down to it, it is the fans that make the game. Without us, there is no NBA. How many would sign on for a fan boycott and be willing to carry it forward into the season (if there is one) or whenever they restart the NBA? How do you start something like that and make it work?

I guess you didn't realize it was football season. I don't think anyone cares enough to do what you're describing. It would be similar to that save the Oilers rally in Houston where 30 or so people showed up.

No way OP. Once the season starts, it'll be business as usual. I can't wait.

I think they will get a deal done by next weekend. They are really boycotting themselves the longer this goes on. They are all losing money.

Yup, and the Oilers left town. Same thing here. Nobody cares enough so we just get the screws put to us by both the owners and the players. I agree with A3PO, as soon as the season starts, it will be back to business as usual.

You’re under the mistaken premise that we’re entitled to the NBA. We’re NOT. We’re just the scum that keeps these billionaires and millionaires afloat…much like politics.

While I LOVE your boycott idea, A_3PO is correct and I think you know it. Once the season starts, let’s play ball.

This is NOTHING. We had half a season with the last lockout. Now that one hurt.

It wont be. The NFL can get away with it, basketball not so much. They were riding a high too. Look how long it took to recover from the previous lockout. The NBA is going to hurt for a long time regardless of how good the product they put on the court turns out to be.

Why is pushing the season back one month going to hurt the NBA for a long time? If they start by December 1st, the regular season will still be 70+ games.

If the NBA was going to have labor problems, this was the perfect time to have them. Last season left a great taste in everyone's mouths and fans are on edge wanting things to get started.

If the whole season is canceled, that's a different conversation.

They will get it done, I am convinced that January is the target timeframe.
