Yea i know he gives the Rox some defense, but the offense suffers considerably when he's on the court compared to his defense output. Basically, all the defense he gives up doesn't make up for the offense we lose. I know he has heart, i love the guy, but the rockets offense are at least OK w/o tracy mcgrady on the court.

    Keep Ryan Bowen off :(.

Ryan Bowen is what he is: A situational player. He was never meant to play big minutes this year. When he can get back to his role, he'll be fine.

And then maybe people will stop b****ing about him for five ****ing seconds.

bowen can't shoot. jvg wants shooters but loves bowen cuz he hustles. i honestly dont really understand how its hard to miss wide open shots. i bet if he practiced his jump shots, maybe a 1,000 jump shots a day he'll be money.

I just dont understand all these hates on Ryan Bowen. He plays hard while he is on the court and he is only makin league minimun not like we are overpaying him.

Whining about Rybo cant make a shot or what so ever is ridiculous. He was on the court because the coach asked him too and mainly due to all our injuries.

I remembered there was a game this season Rybo played well and rockets won, everybody was praising. After a few bad games, everyone here is cursin him?? WTF????

i think I remember reading how he practiced his shot in the offseason knowing he was going to get a lot of open jumpers. I could be wrong, but I think I read that somewhere!!

What's your point? That McGrady's better than Bowen? I think the Rockets doing well in the games since Bowen went out has a little more to do with McGrady returning than Bowen being gone.

Leave Bowen alone. He is out with an irregular heart beat. We have had other players in the past that were just as useless on offense...Recall my hero Rod Strickland or Sedaell Threatt-absolutely pointless. there is no money invested in Bowen. My goodness - recall Glen Rice-beautiful shot with no legs or defense@9mil per year.

    Let Bowen rest.

Thanks for this completely original insight. Before this thread was created, no one has had the courage to speak against Ryan Bowen. Certainly no one realized he's an offensive liability. Welcome to the BBS. I'm glad to have a poster as brilliant as you aboard.

Seriously. I'm fed up with the Bowen bashing. I'll say it again - You people should reserve your hatred for under-achievers, not over-achievers. Ryan Bowen is an over-achiever. It goes without saying that he generally shouldn't be playing significant minutes. The only reason he's on the court is because half the team is injured. And if he's playing those minutes because there are no other options then why the hell complain about it? Seriously!

And here I thought Ryan Bowen was the Heart and Soul of the Rox... ;)

Yeah I think way too much hate has been heaped on Bowen. He is what he is. A good hustle player who comes off the bench to grab some rebounds, go after loose balls, harrass the other teams and set picks. He's a utility guy who's good for extending each Rox possession not for closing the gap when the Rox are behind. He's probably best used for when the Rox are clinging to a lead in the fourth and has to work the clock.

Stop this kind of threads. Ryan is only paid the minimum. And he did his best. You shouldn't ask a superstar performance from him.

What's a white guy who can't shoot doing on our team. Ship him to Atlanta.

A lot more than he's supposed to be doing. He's supposed to be playing maybe five to ten minutes a game in situations he's well suited for. Instead, he's giving us starter minutes and playing with all the intensity he can muster every single time he steps on the court.

Hate the under-achiever, not the over-achiever.
