If you said this a month ago, I would agree with you. But MoT has picked up his game the last few weeks. What you term as defensive lapses are most likely a combination of a lack of team defense and superior play by the opposition. Keep in mind that MoT was guarding Duncan, Jamison etc who are great players and you are not going to stop them one on one. Thats when team defense comes in with denying the ball to their PF and quick, aggressive double teaming. Tonight, it just happened that Vin Baker was in that zone. ------------------
People forget how good Vin used to be, and can still be. Isn't it ironic a guy goes 20-11, hits 9-13 shots, and he gets blasted? Part of it also might have been fouls. He picked up 2 quick fouls, which took away most of his agressiveness on that end, and with the way he was playing, fouling out wouldn't have been a good idea. ------------------ The Serious Police are watching.
