I'm proud to be a Rocket fan now. Watching them move the ball and rotate agressively on defense. I tape every game and rewatch to see in slow mo who is and isn't playing hard. Most of the time it is our so call superstar - Stacy MacLady. However, back to reasons why I'm proud these dudes.

    1. The defensive rotations are quicker and we're actually closing out on shooters. MacLady either didn't car or couldn't rotate effectively.

    2. Yao is running the floor without stamina issues

    3. Rafer is playing harder and smarter. Not looking over his shoulder for Steve or Mike James

    4. Shane is at least trying to play offensively

    5. We're in every game, except fot he Golden State debacle.

    6. We're actually trying to run the offense. Our shooitng is another story.

    7. Tmac, Battier, and Rafer for Kidd and Jefferson.

i agree with being proud of these rockets...and the subsequent points you made about them

i disagree with your vision of McGrady. You do not have the authority, the right, the position to be denigrating any NBA player in that manner.

And, just to undermine you further, you should have made it McLady...because his name is McGrady, not MacGrady.

    idiot.

I think this year will be a development year. I hope we will not be too dependent on Tmac anymore. His inconsistent health condition is hurting us.

I would be proud of a BackNthDay-less clutchfans message board..

read the effin' Houston chronicle and what the injury actually is before you go out and exclaim "McLady is a b!tch" ..

He has every right to call out Tracy. Until Tracy consistently puts his
heart and effort into every game, He will be a cancer....

The guy admitted quitting on his team in Orlando...... That kind of attitude can not be excepted, I would rather lose with integrity intact....

I'm proud of the way they played without McGrady but seriously, this team needs him badly. Now that our roleplayers have started contributing I forsee McGrady playing more enthusiastically and effeciently. Sad that's what it takes but when Yao went out and Tmac carried the load averging 30/7/6 it was because of contributions from Juwan, Deke, Alston and Battier. When the Rockets roleplayers are contributing instead of standing around this team is good, really good.

I would really like to see Scola in the starting lineup though. Bonzi should be the first man off the bench for Yao and Brooks should be getting more significant minutes. I still have faith in this team but it sits on the shoulders of Battier, Bonzi, and Scola. Seeing as McGrady nor Yao are true leaders this team has gone as far as it can without much improved contributions from the role players. Now we just have to hope that McGrady moves the ball around and keeps the flow of the offense going and we have a lot to be optimistic about over the next 30 games. We can get back in this thing! ;)

He did not say that, He merely stated that Tmac plays soft and lazy.
Occasionally Tracy is black jesus, Its unfortunate he cannot find consistency.

A cancer? 21-12 when he single-handedly carried the team last year with the Big Fella out

I love the short memories here. Feel free to jump back on when he comes back and plays well

actualy...coaches? yes. coaches most definately have the authority, the right, the position to be calling out a player. for obvious reasons.

i agree with the despair over Tracy's inconsistent attitude. but the original poster sounded a little too smug about his bashing. didnt like it.

Tmac can be the best player in the world, when Tmac wants to be.....

I don't dislike any Rockets player, but I want what is best for this team, and
Tracy has been consistently inconsistent his entire career. Unless we find a leader that can play alongside Tracy, I think we need to shake-up this roster...

we have that leader; it's Yao Mingz greatness!! how could you lead the team better than setting the tone early in the game and going 2-11 from the field, all while shooting fade-aways with the double team in your damn lap??

do you understand the concept of a fruking double team?? do you understand that when you have 2 people defending you and grabbing you and being physical with you, all combined with good interior defense under the basket, you have to pass it to the open guy??

do you know that Rafer, Battier, Head, and everyone else couldn't make a shot to save their damn lives??

Mac did his part, the other players and JVG didn't..

Reality: 13-44 (or something close) without Miss McGrady

    Dream: Trade McGrady for Kobe
