I'm not surprised with us being interested Miles, but to tip our hand?

I was thinking the same thing rf34. What would have happened if West had told the Hornets "com'on give us the 13th pick, you're not going to believe what we're going to do w/ it... this kid kobe.."

that's why I think the Rockets are just trying to make him declare (a.l.a. Rashard Lewis - mistake!?! j/k please don't cover that in this thread) so that they'll at least have options 7-11 wherever they'll be.

It's not like every other scout for every other nba team hasn't seen the kid anyway.

I should have made it more clear perhaps on the front page -- highest on the list in regards to high schoolers... don't think he's the guy we'd take if we had the top pick mind you.

There is a very good chance this is a cover (Rashard Lewis seemed to be in 1998) but this isn't information that the Rockets "released" mind you. On the other hand I wouldn't pass it along if it wasn't valid ... so you can try and put the two together.

I've been hearing since the early signing period that Miles would go NBA. But its not totally by choice, he can't qualify with his SAT score to play college next year.

But brought along slowly, he has the talent to play in the NBA physically, the rest??

I bet we get a different story each week, until the draft. This week the Rockets are high on Darius. Next week it will be somebody else.

We haven't even got to the time, when the Rocks bring prospects in for workouts. The rumors will really start to fly then.

I thought you were suppose to keep the top few players on your list in secret or else they can use them against you. I'm surpised rockets would let us know who we are most high on. Interested is one thing, but highest on the list?

    Thats a good point rf34.

Personally, I believe they may be trying to hype the kid, to get one of the higher picking teams interested so that someone else might fall into their laps ...

Either that or maybe its just that the Rocks are so confident that the other lotto teams are not interested that they figure it doesnt matter if they show their hand or not. In fact, if they believe the latter, it would actually help the rocks to show interest, to encourage Miles to declare for the draft.
