Obviously Mcgrady's offense is not as fluid, consistent, or dominating as we are accustomed to.... but thank God we aren't seeing much negative talk about it... Out of curiousity I wanted to poll the clutchfan members to see what everyone believed ...

I guess most of the guys around here know what he can bring to the table night in & night out. Its just a matter of time before he breaks out!

While he may not be worth max dollars right now, he is still finding ways to be effective, so give him some credit. He's not settling for jumpers with every possession, he's finding the open man, drawing defenders in the lane, and getting the ball to Yao for easy looks.

The best players find ways to win even when their natural game isn't working. That's what TMac is doing now.

and miami is not paying shaq to be Yao's whipping boy

seriously, tmac's shot is gonna come back.. he was getting to the lane fairly easily last night expecially in the fourth quarter so we know he still has some quickness and explosiveness..

and he was still drawing double and sometimes triple teams which left his teammates open for good looks..

I like the T-Mac in the 4th quarter of the Heat game. I think either JVG let him or T-Mac himself realize that it's best for him to pass the ball than shot the ball in this stretch. He can easily be the Steve Nash of our team and I strongly believe his shooting touch will be back once he finds the confidence from his assists. With Yao being so dominate, we don't need T-Mac to be the scoring machine he used to be, we need a new T-Mac who knows his current strength and plays smarter basketball. If T-Mac can make other players on our teams better, it'll be a bigger nightmare for our opponents. We should help boost his confidence.

    T-Mac be the general!

Tmac is a slow starter, but he is playing so smart. During the heat game in the 3rd quater i remember he only forced his shot if we had the lead, seeing if he couldn't get going, once the heat got close he returned to the role of distributor. If tmac didn't start slow other seasons i would be more worried. But evey other aspect of his game other than his shooting is flawless. His scoring is only off around 4 points a game. I dont see tmac dropping 24 or 25 a game when yao is averaging 27

i think it would be great to expect the two combine for 50 each night with yao getting about 27 and tmac 23 6 and 6

This poll should have multiple choices.
I am worried a little bit, but not frustrated, because we are winning. and I do believe he will getting better on shooting. We will see how we go tomorrow.

I think the only one who's worried about T-mac are fans who are stat-watchers obsessed with individual performances.

I don't think much about it...in fact, he's playing brilliantly in my book.

I am a little frustrated TMAc has such a bad shooting percentage and he is not making his shots consistently anywhere on the court... I am glad we are winning, otherwise, tmac will be facing lot of criticism. However, I do remember when Tmac first got to houston, he started off really slow too, and then he had like a string of games with high scoring.

    THANK YOU.

tmac is playing excellently right now. he is, hands down, the best passer/distributor/facilitator on the team. sure, his raw #s are down, but i don't see how it is having a negative impact on the team. as long as he is viewed as a "threat" by the opposition he will attract a lot of attention, thus opening the court for his teammates. when he regains his stroke, we will be downright scary. as is, we are playing top 4 basketball.

and FWIW, i think tmac will regain his touch. his problems right now are mechnical. he isn't getting as much lift as he usually gets and he isn't releasing the ball at its apex. those are timing issues that come along with not playing for an extended amount of time (4 months). in another month or so, he will shake it off.

I'm not sure i want that. I'm happy with t-mac being the second leading scorer on the team.

A superstar like Tmac doesnt just lose IT. Even if he is a little down on physical side, he will find a way to be dominating. I trust him because I have seen him doing amazing stuff that others wouldnt even be able to do in their dreams.
On the other hand, Tmac is lucky to have the big fellow to ride on right now. If we are losing and he is in this state, oh man, he is going to feel a lot of heat and hate from everybody.
