What the hell are you moving there for when you already live in the best city in the world? [IMG]

No, seriously why are you moving? Just curious. [IMG]

I have a friend in the Air Force who is departing for Saudi Arabia in March.

My uncle lived in Saudi Arabia for a couple of years working as an engineer. The only thing I remember him saying is that Saudi Arabians are horrible drivers. They are aggressive and get in lots of accidents. Also, tf there's even just a tiny bit of rain, they will slow down to 10 km/hr and go around with their hazard lights flashing.

    Watch out on the roads!

I lived in Norway for 3 1/2 years, but that's a lot different than Saudi, obviously. It's cool, and very different being somewhere else. It can make you appreciate home (US) a lot after you've been gone. Where will you be going to school down there?

Oh, that's cool, an embassy school. I went to an International School in Norway. It'll be cool. You'll probably get to meet lots of people who have done lots of traveling around the world. I met one guy who had 5 passports [IMG]

From my experience at ISS (International School of Stavanger), they're similar, but not quite the same. I don't know about your school specifically, but if it's anything like any of the International schools I visited or ISS, it's pretty nice. Like public school, but "nicer" . . . nicer buildings, better teachers (from my experience), more funding, and a more rounded curriculum. We had lots of theater and art . . . lots more than I ever had here in US. In fact, our director moved to Kuwait in 93 . . . maybe he's migrated to Saudi [IMG]
