I'm sure Dallas has some stuff to do, but I always had more fun in Ft. Worth. They have a nice downtown area with restaurants and bars and stuff.

Quick, run down to Stop N Go and pick up your Dallas survival kit before you leave town.

Good luck in Dallas. I'm an hour north of it in Frisco and it's great up here!

Near Parker and Custer in Plano... we should watch a game next season or something...

Gummi Clutch, As far as Dallas goes.. that's kind of like saying, "I'm going to Houston... what should I do?" Can you be more specific?

If you find yourself near the Garland/Richardson area, ask about a place called Ozona's. Great food with a laid back atmosphere. Lots of outdoor seating.

Well, I have a 10 year old basketball team, that will be playing one game a day, and lots of free time. I know we could play XBOX and swim at the hotel, but Im looking for some enjoyable food and family entertainment. Any suggestions??? Restaraunts??? Theme Parks??? etc???

Theme parks? There's Six Flags and there's that water park adjacent to it. I don't frequent those places....but they are in Arlington. What part of town will you be in? The Colony has a new waterpark if you are closer to the Northeast side of town.

Otherwise, in Addison (on Beltline Rd. there are a million restaurants) there is the Magic Time Machine (restaraunt) that has a kiddie atmosphere. All the waitstaff are generally dressed up like famous actors, singers, pop stars and cartoon characters.

There's the Dallas Zoo. But there are no more gorillas on the exhibit since that gorilla got loose and attacked some people. No worries though. :)

Tell me what part of town, and I can better help you.

If you're going to be south of the 635/75 split and north of the 30/35/45 split, you're in Dallas, which is crap.

If you take 635 east, you're heading to Mesquite/Garland area - which I don't care to go that way because it's hick town out there.

If you go 635 west, you're heading toward Irving/Las Colinas/Grapevine, which is a nice area, but Crackboys HDQs is down that way.

If you go 75 N, you're going towards Richardson/Plano/Allen/east of Frisco - which is a nice area that's developed or being developed. I would say the only clean area that's not Dallas.

If you go 75 S, you're in majority Dallas, heading towards downtown, and will turn into 45 going onto Houston.

If you're going 30 E, you're heading towards Rowlett/Rockwall, which is still a developing area, but going to be the next Mesquite/Garland hicktowns.

If you're going 30 W, you're heading toward Grand Prairie/Arlington/Mansfield, which is an area that's still being developed, but I'm not very fond of the area. But with the new Crackboys stadium heading that way, it might be a hotspot.

The Galleria area on 635/Tollway is nice and the Addison area is also the hip place for couples and families for food and entertainment.
