Houston's "#1 News Source" the Houston Colonical provides us with a blow-by-blow assesment of every move Michael Jordan makes while also managing to squeeze in some info about the Rockets. It's nice to know that we can stay updated on the progress of Jordan on a minute-by-minute basis. Did he wake up on time? How does he smell? Are his shoes a pretty color? Ugh!
I wonder if they get the AP stuff for filler? I doubt they want to spend too much on non-related Rockets' articles, given the theory of Roxran.
You are so right Jeff. And it's not like there's a lot of Rockets talk on morning radio sports talk shows either. It seems like everytime one of the hosts brings up something about the Rockets, they either go to commercial or start talking college football......and of course THAT horse can NEVER get beat to death. Where's the love, I ask you? Thank GOD for this website.
I find it hard to concentrate on any Michael Jordan stories now that Kelvin Cato has broken his self imposed media silence
I think this is a great example of how lazy the Chronicle is. It is too easy to grab articles off the wire. Another thing I dislike about the Chron...Fran "Pulitzer Prize" Blinebury...(for some odd reason, he reminds me of Janice on 'Friends')
I used to read the Chronicle's Rockets coverage. I don't anymore. Whatever's worth knowing about the Rockets can be found on this site. The same can't be said of the Chronicle. They'll have to change the way they cover basketball if they want my eyeballs back.
Good point. I used to read the chronicle sports religiously just to squeeze all the Rocket info out of it as possible. Since I've been coming here, I am notifiied when there is a good chronice article(Usually via The Cat), and get pretty much any Rocket information to be found on the internet.
I have no problem with the Chronicle running AP articles on Jordan, since that's what every paper in the US is probably doing. What I do have a problem with is Chronicle writers covering Jordan instead of the Rockets. B
This is the only place that I come for news for the Rockets. It is knida funny because, today a sales man was trying to sell me a subscription for the Chronicle and I happen to have a Rockets polo on. So he started his sales pitch, "so your a Rockets fan, do you like to read the sports section." I did not know how to tell him "No" any other way, I just had to tell him the truth. That I read everything I need off clutchcity.net on the Internet and he knew what I was talking about. He just walked away.
