some of you are irrational...fire rudy, fire van gundy, fire adelman..who do you want to coach the team then...we have had great coaches here and adelman is tremendous. you can nit pick all you want but he has this team in position to win the whole thing.

start a poll and tell me who you would be happy coaching this team. this guy is a hall of fame coach and a team that NEVER has the same rotation from game to game. that is impossible to ever gain traction when your team is always hurt.

the only thing i would suggest to coach a is this: tell mcgrady to sit out and artest to sit out until they can play and practice every day. the injuries linger because they come back before they can handle the every day workload.

Every coach has negatives and positives. It is jsut that we have a large grop of loony fans who like to bash everyone for the weaknesses, instead of appreciate the positives.

I would also suggest reducing Rafer's minutes when he plays like a piece of trash. I'd also suggest when going to Yao 8 straight possessions yields ~2 points total, start trying something different. No way this game should have gone to 2OTs.

Just because there are injury problems doesn't take Adelman off the hook for dumb decisions. The only reason the last 2 games were competitive was because the neither the Hornets or Jazz are playing very well (for different reasons).

I would be more down if he would fricken BENCH that scrub Rafer Alston for the more talented Aaron Brooks.

How many games do we need to see where 4th quarter leads are squandered because our PG can't penetrate or score the ball?

Rafer is one of the main problems with these 4th quarter collapses....if he has to start...fine...but please....let Brooks finish.

I'm with Adelman, absolutely. He'll take the lesson from today. Remember he didn't live the 2007 playoffs.

He's doing a great job with our offense.

He is doing a great job with leaving Alston for the offense, not with AB. Not to mention last night's 3/21 Alston+TMac's contribution :p :p

This game shouldn't be going overtime if Rick Adelman have some clue as to what the hell he's doing in terms of substitution. This is the same shyt i seen in other game where he took Yao out and other teams were able to kill the Rockets as a result. Why the hell if he keeps doing that?? We were up by 3...and he took Yao out?? For what?? Oh they're going to do pick and roll with Yao and pull up a 3 and tie?? This is bullshyt...even if they made 3...it's still a tie game ....but i would be concerned if we're up by 2 and Jazz pull up a 3 and win it!! But Rick Adelman took Yao out for no other reason than to beg the Jazz to drive to score layups easily. In fact, that's what the jazz did...they were able to score TWICE without Yao inside. This is the reason why the game is going overtime..and i am sick of seeing a coach that is just clueless and continue to employ this dumb strategy that isn't even a strategy..it's' just plain stupidity!!

Remember that one game where he took Yao out as a result the other keep attacking the rim and get easy basket?? Well...it didn't take him long to realize he needs Yao inside presence. Well, it was too late and we ended up losing that game. Why the hell Rick Adelman never learn and continue to do the same shyt in this Utah game. He took Yao out when we were up by 3 when Jazz can't do absolutely shyt with Yao in terms of pick and roll.

IMO, coach Rick Adelman has cost the Rockets a few losses this season so far due to his bad nonsense substitution strategy.

Now is he a better coach than JVG?? Sure but in terms of substitution and strategy....he's below average compare to JVG. JVG knew exactly who he want on the court.

I would also suggest RA not to take Yao out at the end of quarters. Ever since last year, opponents repeatedly wasting very few seconds going to the basketand scored.

I have faith in Adelman as well. The guy is what...7th all time in career wins?

We had a great run last year, and we had an awful start. Remember what our record was around this time? Something like 11-15?

I'm feeling good about our chances this year, even with the injuries.

RA has changed his game plan a lot. the only thing he didn't figure out is that how to use yao, sure, yao is best option of the team, but 13times in a row?
man, he must be in love with yao

His ultimate plan on the offense made me sick. What? Yao Yao Yao Yao Yao til he figured out he should rely on Ron more than a exhausted Yao,it was 2nd OT.

He might have man crush on Yao.:D

    No thanks.

Adelman decided late to play for Ron, but while we were playing for Yao we were doing more things than only give it to him and wait (thats the only thing some can see, sadly).

Our offense with RA is infinitely richer than with Mr. JVG... Negate the great work of Adelman with this team in this year and a half is simply an idiocy.

I had the feeling that Adelman was going almost exclusively to Yao at the end because he didn't want to use Artest. It seemed as if he didn't want to risk making Artest's injury worse.

If Artest didn't have the ankle problem, Adelman would've gone to him much earlier, IMO.

By double OT, though, it was clear Yao just didn't have anything more to give, so Adelman went to Artest, and Artest responded, bum ankle and all. That's my guess.

ANyway, when a team is this injury ridden, it really limits a coach's options.

We're losing to critical playoff teams... our players are inconsistent... he is doing a badass job with such a shaky line up. Hopefully we can get DK going and dominate soon.

Overall I like I think Adelman is a great coack. I was one on this board to push for him even when JVG was doing a fairly decent job. I do think he has his quirks. I don't like how he handled the SF situation but maybe there was a lot more to it that what I saw in public. I think his rotations and minute allocations are wackadoo sometimes.

What I do like about him is that is flexible and plays to his players strengths. He tried Yao in the high post and it didn't work so stopped doing it. He also coached us to 55 wins last year and we are doing fairly well this year considering we have not had everyone healthy all year.

This team is much more fun to watch the JVG teams for sure.

its just human nature on this forum. People tend to look for negatives, more than positives. Like in the world today, if you look at the news, there alwasy more bad news than rather good being reported.

most of the adelman haters are just Yao worshippers.

adelman is doing a fine job. the fact that we don't rely on yao every single play is such a huge improvement.
