I'm coming to Houston for the first time in years Friday (im going to the magic game too). Are there any laptop charger/adapters that can keep it charged on a plane? It isn't a necessity but I was just curious.

Virgin Atlantic has laptop chargers built into their plane but for Premium class.

This site shows which airlines, plane models and seat numbers have laptop power ports and a bunch of other amenities for each plane.

Southwest doesnt have anything, but Continental has power ports in certain sections of their plane that is not even first class. Usually first few rows of economy.

Of course man. Most international flights (747/777) will have the power ports for you if you have a DC-DC charger. You can also use it in your car to plug into the cigarette lighter. I worked with Mobility Electronics on this project when I was with Dell:

You should be able to pick one up cheaper online or at Fry's, but here's the Dell one that I showed you.

Some do, some don't. Call the airline and ask.

You can also go down to Academy and pick up one of the cigerette lighter power inverters.

I bought the Vector MaxxSST 400 watt DC to AC power inverter.

And I can plug anything into it...Ipod, laptop, PDA, cell phone etc...just using the normal plugs.

Here is a link to the newer version of what I have
