Im a bad man im ashamed of it as well. What did i do? Well last night i openly rooted for the Jazz  and will continue to until their first round series ends with the Lakers. I just wanted the jazz to win a few game and not get swept so hopefully they wear the Lakers out a bit for us.

I cant be alone in wanting the Jazz to win a few games, did it feel weird for anyone to root for them?

Heard this on the radio this morning - how would you feel if the Jazz not only won a few games, but won FOUR? We all know how slim the chances of this are, and we don't want to get ahead of ourselves with our own series, but it's definitely interesting to ponder...

Although this might seem against our religion I definetley agree. You don't want these guys well rested and fresh before the second round. Let's hope Utah wins all their home games at least.

Yeah I'm not trying to get ahead of ourselves because we aren't out of the first round but I would definetley want to seek revenge against the Jazz. Matchup wise we will fare better with the Jazz since Okur is hurt and that will make Yao less of a liability on defense. Also, we don't have as much length now that Mutombo is done to counter Gasol and Bynum.

    Meh...

Lakers hate is almost as central to Rockets fandom as Jazz hate, so that's not that bad of a sin. I'd think that 3 kisses of your Hakeem Olajuwon bobblehead and one scream of "I hate John Stockton" should be enough penance.

No way. Heck, Rockets have more history hating the Spurs than the Lakers.

Pat Riley getting John Lucas, Mitch Wiggins, and Lewis Lloyd suspended after the Twin Towers beat his precious "dynasty".

Being the Rocket fan that I am and seeing what's good for us as a team, I want Utah to win the series. I hate the Jazz but I gotta think whats best for Rockets.

It's a win win situation for Utah and Us. If the Lakers win, its a lose lose. We match up better with Utah than Lakers and get to whoop them in the second round.

Why did you root for the j*zz in SLC.

We all know that they can't lose at home.

Yeah, a 7-game series would be ideal. I can't say I'd ever openly root for the j*zz, but I won't complain if they win a few here and there, or even the series.

Im ashamed for the people who think its going to go to game 7 or want it 2. That series at best will go to 5 or 6 games. Mind me the score was 88-86 or a Kobe 5-24 shooting night. That right there tells you how deep and talented those damn lakers are  :(

I sort of felt bad for them. Losing by an average of 20 points? ... even they deserved some mercy...maybe.

No, seriously, Utah is not on the same level as Lakers, as are all the other teams. But Utah could have easily been losing by an average of 30 points a game. Every game, it feels like the Lakers are joking around with them. Absolutely no match, no contest.

Jazz cut the lead to 6 and in 1minute, Kobe takes over and it goes back up to 10-15.

I pull for the Laker opponent in the playoffs. I just don't want Kobe to get a ring without Shaq!!

Altho it would be interesting to hear his "logic" for running off Gasol and Bynum. :D

Hmmm, that's kind of like Yao only getting six shots on the road and only losing by 4. Right?
