Ok, I have to admit it. I am TOTALLY addicted to golf. I saw this "quiz" for addiction and decided to apply it golf. I use more than I intend to. Nope, can never get enough... I avoid people and/or places that do not condone my usage. Uh, yep. I spend more money on golf than I can afford. Yep. I wonder why some people don't use. Totally! I sometimes golf alone. All the time. I guard my supply. My supply of Pro V1*'s I have neglected my responsibilities due to my golfing. So I forgot to water the yard last week, so what? My family and friends complain about my using. Actually my wife wants to learn and my friends are all addicts too. I use because my family drives me crazy. It's nice to have quiet time with nature... and my Deep Red Driver. I have been in trouble with friends, family, school, or my job because of my golfing. Not yet, but I'm bound to get caught calling in sick to go play... done it before and I will do it again. I have been in trouble with the law as a result of my golfing. not been caught trespassing after hours, yet. I have empty golf ball boxes and used scorecards in my car. Massive amounts. I play courses that I don't prefer. Sometimes the good ones are full. I do things while under the influence that I would not ordinarily do while straight. Do you see me doing Tiger's fist pump at work? The good times are gone from my golfing. Uh, hardly! I think I must be on the course to have a good time. No, but it helps. I have questioned my own sanity. Constantly. I have had a blackout, where I wake up the next morning and don't remember what happened the round before. I remember the really good shots... I lie about what or how much I golf. To my boss. and my wife. and my co-workers. OK YES! I have tried to control my use. It's no use. I have tried to cut down my use. Maybe in the winter. I have tried to stop using. Never. I am ashamed of my using. Only when I don't break 90. I think I might have a problem. Ya, I've been pulling my short irons lately... can you help me? I want to stop but I can't do it alone. No, never, no never ever ever, DONTCHAEVENTHINKIT! Now it's getting worse. I had my ultimate high the other day. Shot an 84 from the tips at one of the longest courses in Houston. Had several drives in the middle of the fairway over 300 yards. After long drives I now look at my dad and say "HULK SMASH!" I think he's starting to get annoyed, I can't imagine why... Anybody else ever had it this bad and still felt so good?
Thats right! My lowest score was 85. This happened during the early days. I also had a hole in one on a 124 yard Par 3. My best friend was my witness. I havent played in 2 weeks now. I need to get back out. My wife and I opened a business and it has taken much of my time. Fathers Day is near and I always get something of Golf. Once your hooked................your hooked bad. 84....... awesome
Hey, you don't have to be good at it, to like it. As long as you have plenty of beer on hand of course.
The few times I've played golf, I've really enjoyed it. Shame I can't afford to play...all I do is go hitting at the driving range...
I have played on and off for the past several years. I have a family friend thats a pro that has given me lessons, but I never got on the course enough to take advantage. Anyways, I just hooked up with some friends from high school and have been playing every Monday for the past couple months. I too have become addicted. Let me tell you, I am not very good, but I hit enough "perfect" shots during a round that it keeps me coming back for more. There is nothing better than standing there at the tee admiring a huge drive down the center of the fairway, or sinking a long putt. I plan on taking a golf class next semester, and probably the semester after that...and after that... . Anyways, not that anyone here asked but I just upgraded my fairway woods and driver. I found this great site, sort of like epionions.com but for golf. Anyone looking for new equipment should check out this site first. http://www.golfreview.com/
My lowest score to date is 81. I've done it 3 times. Last time was two weeks ago... played a par 71 and shot a 36 on the front nine.. then a 45 on the back! D'OH!
