Not really. But is there a more moving ballad than Scorpions' "Send Me an Angel?" <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/s_lMNufI3hA"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/s_lMNufI3hA" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
More moving? How about that song by Nickleback. The name escapes me now. You know, the one they play on the radio all the time...it sounds kind of like their other song...
You got the band right my man, but the quintessential power ballad is Still Loving You. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/JnKVAP0_Hik"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/JnKVAP0_Hik" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
"it sounds kind of"??? COMPLETELY ALIKE <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/466EKohjFUo"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/466EKohjFUo" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> Take your pick, then.
I beg to differ. And thanks for giving me another reason to post this. <embed style="width:400px; height:326px;" id="VideoPlayback" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docId=5621326045728337618&hl=en" flashvars=""> </embed>
Hello, and welcome to 5 years ago. #1, they sped up and slowed down those songs multiply to gain that effect, but it still was funny. Weirdly enough, I like one of those but can't stand the other. That said, when they can intertwine a third song of theirs into this, I'll agree. Until then, it's tantamount to "Dirty Deeds" and "TNT" by AC/DC. And I'm quite sure they're still considered a good band.
You are all wrong....this is the best Scorpions <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/1w9AukcojEc"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/1w9AukcojEc" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> Also.. Dont forget Wind of Change <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Yxzs1q50MeE"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Yxzs1q50MeE" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

Wow. NEW Scorpions. I'm impressed man. You have the album? How is it? Scorpions don't seem to get their due. If the thread is about Scorpions ballads, this has got to be #1 on the list: <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/0E_f03gJ8io"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/0E_f03gJ8io" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

hard rock would be not *as* dependant on the sheer speed and heavily distorted guitars as heavy metal. Heavy metal examples: Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Megadeth etc Hard Rock : AC/DC, Guns and ROses, Van Halen, Tesla, Queensryche, etc I feel more comfortable commenting on the old school rock/metal, maybe someone better versed in new groups could give examples
I would say that Heavy Metal is Hard Rock but Hard Rock isn't necessarily Heavy Metal. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heavy_metal_music http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hard_rock During the 1970s, hard rock inspired a new genre of music known as "heavy metal." The emergence of this genre has led to confusion between hard rock and heavy metal bands, as the distinctions between the two are usually subtle, and the distinction often comes down to a band's image, rather than its songs. The two genres have some crossovers, for example; heavy metal pioneers, such as Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, are often considered both heavy metal and hard rock, whereas, bands such as AC/DC, Aerosmith, The Who, Thin Lizzy, Guns N' Roses, Nazareth, Van Halen and Kiss, are normally referred to as hard rock. From a musical point of view, heavy metal tends to interpret the basic syncopated jazz rhythm of an eight and two sixteenth carried on a ride cymbal with a swing feel down to the bass line with a literal "straight up" feel. Thus the "dum da da dum da da dum" bass line is a standard basis for the heavy metal sound as heard, for example, in Black Sabbath's song "Heaven and Hell" during the verses, or in Iron Maiden's song "Flight of Icarus". Another good example is to listen to the difference between how the song "Helter Skelter" is played by the original writers, The Beatles, and the interpretation as played by Mötley Crüe.
Well, the OP was just mentioning ballads, but if we're talking all Scorps vids, it's got to be Rhythm of Love. Catchy tune and a smokin video. I can watch it over and over again. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/6ZzmQgPC4jk"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/6ZzmQgPC4jk" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
a someone was soon going to point out, not that Send Me an Angel This is the most riveting, provoking, awe inspiring creation of film and music together I could have ever hoped to watched, in my life as a youth <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/pzWCYdJ24bk"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/pzWCYdJ24bk" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
