Supposedly Durant doesn't fit the timeline, Booker's struggles last season shifted Rox thinking on him, and Zion is too risky. Iko & Amick also bring up Giannis, but don't include any comment from the team on him. They do say that the team is still in on Green though.

Seems like the beat writers are just regurgitating whatever the team decided to feed them, which would be typical. I still think the team would be very interested in Durant, Booker, and Zion at the right price, and perhaps Jalen could be had on the cheap.

I put very little stock in what Iko reports. He’s just a vessel.

Jalen can't be had on the cheap, but I agree with the rest of what you said.

Iko is the type of messenger from medieval times that would not return back.

I found it very interesting that when Harden was here and right after he left, the Rockets always leaked they were interested in anyone....

Nowadays they are interested in nobody........

If they think Green is the guy the same thing is going to happen next year.

rockets have nothing even remotely close to this good or even anyone who will likely hit these highs.

    i'm in.

Amen/Flagg/Giannis is going to move mountains.

I agree that Durant doesn't fit the timeline, So I would only want him for really cheap. I do not want Zion. I am unsure about Booker. His teams have been really bad except for 2 Chris Paul years.

THat being Said If we are indeed running it back we cannot have a Jalen Green led offense. Our main weapon needs to be Amen and Sengun, and we need to surround them with shooters. So also Bari back in the starting line-up.

Whether he's a vessel or not, a lot in that article seemed worthy of putting stock in.

I am pretty sure the Rockets are leery of Durant based on the timeline and Zion because he's risky. Booker, while last season probably affects Rockets view some, I think the vibes from Phoenix are that Ishbia isn't being realistic which makes it smart to move on. Also, Ishbia not being realistic makes the 2027 and 2029 Phoenix picks look even better.

For the most part, the Jalen Green bit is the only thing that looked weird to me. It wouldn't surprise me if Stone is just trying to inflate his trade value or if the Rockets just really hope on his upside.

"He struggled last year" = They are asking for too much
"He's too old" = They are asking for too much
"He's too risky" = They are asking for too much
"We are intrigued" = Hey Giannis look at us. Please really like us and make sure to tell the Bucks that you want to direct a trade here so we don't have to overbid to you get you

the most telling sign that the rockets aren’t sold on Jalen was the 3-yr extension. And while I don’t think his entire rockets career rested on his playoff performance, disappearing for 6 out of 7 had to concern ownership and the front office. No way they are confident in Jalen as their franchise star. But of course we have to publicly posture that we are.

Hey Pastor GPT, what move would put the Rockets over the top?

    Thank you Pastor Grok!

I think we are an attractive destination for Giannis.

Giannis has a lot of respect for Ime and that’s something the other teams don’t have. We have a championship caliber coach who has proven he can get there when given star talent. Also Hakeem is always involved in free agency and he’s Nigerian like Giannis.

We also won 52 games and were second in the west. That’s better than any other team not named OKC that’s in the running for Giannis. If he wants to win we make the most sense because he doesn’t have to accommodate and build a winning culture. We already have a winning culture, coach and young upcoming players like Amen.

Bari has always royally sucked as a starter. He finally finds a decent niche as a backup and you want to put him back as a starter????????
