IGN Sports: Did they make the video game Corey better looking than the real Corey?

Corey Maggette: I wouldn't go that far. Of course I'm still better looking. [laughs] One thing about it, they have Yao Ming look way better in the video game than he does in real life. You have to see him up close to know what I'm saying. [laughs]

IGN Sports: Is it easier to dunk on Yao in the game or real life?

Corey Maggette: Probably both. I won't say too much because we have to play him again, but I'm ready to bring it.

I wonder if the game programmed the Maggette player with enough intelligence to answer a one-or-the-other question as "probably both." Here's a tip, Corey, when someone asks you if it is easier to dunk on Yao in real life or in a video game, replying "Probably both" means absolutely nothing.

Reminds me of this pre-employment personality test I had to take one time where they asked questions like "Have you ever stolen anything before" and the possible answers were:

    "True"
    "False"
    "More True than False"
    "More False than True"
    "No more True than False"

a question for you all: does living in LA make your ego swell to a size that is totally disproportionate to your skills/abilities? he kinda seems to me like another LA product - the boob job; inflated, fake & totally lacking next to the real deal! :D

Wow, what a classy thing to say about a guy who never did anything to you. Not to mention that we kicked their asses in LA, and he is on the worst team in the west. Some guys go out of their way to be jerks.

Yao already gave Maggette a hard elbow directly to his nose in the last game vs the Clippers. It knocked him flat on his ass. It had to be embarassing to Maggette, since they kept re-playing the clip of Yao elbowing him directly on his nose - once in slow motion. When he got up, he started crying to the refs. I'm not surprised he's taking cheap shots at Yao in the media, after that happened.

Its good, it will just give Yao a good reason to get a little aggresive with Maggot

(In a non-homosexual kinda of way of course.)

Someone go post that article in Yao's forum so he's all fired up for the next time the play LA, so he can knock Maggette on his ass.

Maggette has really come along as a player but sometimes that I'm-gonna-dunk-on-him playground stuff just gets annoying.

Oh well. If Kobe isn't in jail and jumps ship, maybe Maggette will have reason to talk smack. As of now? Silence would be golden.

Maggettes team mate/friend Quiten Richardson also made several insulting comments about Yao during the pre-draft workouts in Chicago. If i remember correctly, he said something to the effect that Yao is all hype and that he and others are taking bets on who dunks on him first.

Clippers are the last team that should be criticizing others. Yao will show them during hte next game!

yea i saw that. Yao hit him then walked away, either he didnt know he hit Maggette, which means Maggette is such a lighweight compared to Yao that he didnt feel his elbow touching his face OR Yao just didnt gave a F#$%

Yao Ming cold-cocked Maggette in the face, straight up without so much as a flinch. Afterwards, he stepped over him- like nothing ever happened. Here are some screen captures of it.
