I guess I like to garden.
Our front yard is do e up real nice in Austin.
Rock roses, herbs, cabbage, peach tree, hydrangeas, fig tree, native grasses, regular roses, desert willow, kale, strawberries, cactus, lantana, etc.

The backyard garden has mostly tomatoes and herbs but also a killer blackberry bush. We get about 20 cherry tomatoes and 20-40 blackberries a day as we are right in the middle of the season.

This house is by far the house I've had the most success with. Everything is growing very well. It's a beautiful setup really.

But I honestly don't spend much time at it. Can't. Have three young kids.

    So here are my tricks
    1. Sun. Yeah you can get shade plants. But they need sun too
    2. Water. Not complicated. I've planted everything near drip irrigation or sprinkler set to a slow soft water.
    3. Food. Every once I a while I sprinkle random organic fertilizer and food of various sorts. Usually when I'm planting something new. Maybe once a month. 4. Soil and mulch. Don't focus on this much. Just started with good soil. Mulch occasionally.

    That's it. Success.
I don't worry about the grass grass... Cause I don't care for it.
If I get a second ill post a pic.
