The last college QB I drooled over this much was Dan Marino. I hate the idea of tanking but this guy might be worth it.

I don't believe in tanking, especially for something as uncertain as a QB in the NFL.

I will feel so bad for Texans fans if the Colts end up with him.

After catching a dose of how pathetic Seattle is this past weekend, I'd be all for this strategy if I were the Seahawks.

Kansas City is probably the derby leader right now.

    then

    Seattle
    Indy
    Saint Louis

    followed by

    Miami
    Jacksonville
    Minnesota

I suspect Jacksonville is the most likely to participate in shameless tanking.

NFL coaches aren't ones to do obvious tank jobs - they know they won't stay around to see the return.

The Rams would trade that pick with Bradford at QB. No need, second year player, high ceiling. They'll be going after a WR hard.

Jacksonville won't tank for a QB, since they just took Gabbert. I think Minnesota takes Luck even after they took Ponder.

No way Rams get 1st pick because they the play Seattle, San Fran, and Arizona twice each.

Could anyone stomach their team tanking from week 3? On paper it would make sense for a few of these teams to try, as Seattle and KC have nothing whatsoever going for them. But as a fan, I would hate to see my team get stomped on for 16 weeks.

I don't think the Jags can survive another season to tank. Del Rio has to be in the guillotine by now, and the organization as a whole can't be that far behind. A single digit QB rating from McCown.

He'd just be on the bench for 5 years. I'd feel sorry for him. Would y'all trade Foster and Shaub for the 1st pick? Y'all probably would. I know y'all. Suckers.

Just browsed over again...it's only week 4, but I'd be stunned if the Chiefs don't win the Luck sweepstakes. Their remaining schedule:
    Code:
    WK DATE OPPONENT TIME (ET)
    [COLOR="SlateGray"]1	Sun, Sep 11	Buffalo 	1:00 PM
2	Sun, Sep 18	at Detroit 1:00 PM
    3	Sun, Sep 25	at San Diego 4:05 PM[/COLOR]
    4	Sun, Oct 2	Minnesota 1:00 PM
5	Sun, Oct 9	at Indianapolis 1:00 PM
7	Sun, Oct 23	at Oakland 4:05 PM
8	Mon, Oct 31	San Diego 8:30 PM
    9	Sun, Nov 6	Miami 1:00 PM
    10	Sun, Nov 13	Denver 1:00 PM
11	Mon, Nov 21	at New England 8:30 PM
    12	Sun, Nov 27	Pittsburgh 8:20 PM
13	Sun, Dec 4	at Chicago 1:00 PM
14	Sun, Dec 11	at NY Jets 1:00 PM
15	Sun, Dec 18	Green Bay 1:00 PM
    16	Sat, Dec 24	Oakland 1:00 PM
17	Sun, Jan 1	at Denver 4:15 PM
That bear of a schedule, all while watching 3 of their best guys end up out for the year.

What do you give them? A coin flip chance at Indy, maybe splits with Denver and Oakland? Home against Miami? I can't see how they get more than 2 wins. Only the Rams are in the same zip code (-60) as their abysmal points differential (-80)

Rams see Arizona, Sea, and SF twice, plus the Browns and Bengals. Colts see the Jags twice, plus the Chiefs, Bengals, and Panthers. And they (like the Rams) aren't completely devoid of talent. Both of them should snag at least 4 wins.

Miami and Minnesota aren't as wretched as their 0-3 starts make them look. They'll get 5-6 wins.

Dont be surprised if the Dolphins end up getting the #1 pick and draft Luck . Dolphins are in the ever so tough AFC East which has 3-0 buffalo to go along with NE and NYJ.
