What I am want know is that if the candidates you support now lose in the election come November, what was the one or few attributes that they could have that caused the votes/numbers to go the other way? I am talking about what you know as of now and if anything comes up in the future then you could post it later. I really want what you think about your choice and not the opponents. Meaning? I don't want Trader, basso or the like stating what doomed Obama's ticket and I don't want Sam, mc mark or the like stating what doomed McCain's ticket. Hey, I know it probably won't work and some of you will state your opinions on both sides but I figured I would ask.
Ron Paul was pretty far out of the mainstream of his party right now, and I'm not sure he was running to win anyway. Oh, were you talking about McCain-Obama? I'm not even going to guess until late October at the earliest.
The utter susceptibility of the American people to misinformation and scare tactics. You'd think by the third time they should be a little wary, but I don't think they are. Witness: Finalsbound's family.
If Obama loses, it's not having Hillary as his VP. If McCain loses, simply because he couldn't convince America he is not a continuation of GWB.
If Obama loses, I would say that it would be due to their inability to control the media better with their message over the republicans. I think they have the winning message, but it seems that they let the republicans out play them in the media in presenting their message, even though it changes. I don't think not picking Hillary will hurt Obama because anyone that was really supporting her for who she is and not her femaleness, will vote for Obama by now anyway. But picking her would have energized the Republican base more and disaffected many of Obama's base to maybe not show up in the election because they would think it doesn't matter and he has it anyway. If McCain loses, it will be because he shows bad judgment and temperment. It will also be because too many people do think his age is a problem even if they don't say it openly, and his first major decision did nothing to help that. It probably should have something to do with the Dems eventually playing enough adds with all of his gaffes to make the electorate uncomfortable with him being in the White House.
If my choice loses it will be because the opponent's VP is married to a Snow Machine racing champion.
Yes, where is that one man one vote thing about democracy again? Why are votes in Alaska counted more than votes in NY or Texas? Electoral college needs to go.
I agree. Obama could have closed it there. Whether Hillary or his fault or a little of both, hard to know. Palin is a bold attempt at getting through the crack in the door that was left (will rural and women moderates be sold enough?).
I don't think so, if McCain loses it will be because it was a hopeless proposition this election. McCain is by far the best chance Republicans had, and Palin is an excellent political VP choice.
