...General Manager and Coach of the Houston Rockets,what would you do this offseason???????My List of things i would do: -Stop playin' small ball!Try to make Moochie a real backup and let Mobley and Francis playin around 38 mins a game and Moochie the rest (20 mins).That would stop the ****ing smallball. -Spend the midlevel exception!We wouldn't land a All-Star,but a decent veteran who could help out one year,and produce,if somebody is healty!I'm thinking of Jerome James,Popeye Jones or Kendall Gill... -Sign Steve Francis to a contract extension!The easiest thing in this offseason -Tyring to resign Tierre Brown and Oscar Torres!Tierre Brown could be become a decent backup guard in the future,because he has the talent!Torres could be another backup for the future -Tyring To make a Trade that includes: -Pick Nr.5 -A Power Forward (Except Grifin) We all know that we have a glut at PF.So we are perhaps trying to move one of them.I wouldn't like to trade KT,because Taylor is coming back frm an injury,and Griffin is not yet a Starter,but KT is likel the one who would be moved,til the ROX are seeming to be in Love with Maurice Taylor!I think the Rockets not need another young player who is developing,we need help right now. Try to workout a sign-n-trade deal with the Clippers.Get Odom, Olowokandi and they get Cato,KT,Collier and our #5. -Griffin! Griffin must develop over the offseason.Work with him much!!! He needs to become a good Low Post player and get stronger -LetWiz,DL and Willis walk! first- sign and trade walt/kev and our #5 to the sonics for a resigned lewis. wlt/kev get 2 mil each #5 gets another 2 mil: total 6 mil lewis can sign for 6 mil per year and we are set ive heard people say we cant trade walt or kev because they are fa and any team that wants them can get them on their own with an exception. thats true but the same was said about shandon anderson. second-give our #15 to the grizz this one hurts but i rather keep our pick next year third-draft a point guard in the second round to challenge tierre brown, or at least keep him on his toes. fourth-extend steve and kt's contracts fifth-sign size with our mid-level exception (Collins, Jarron-James, Jerome-Blount, Corie) sixth- resign oz, and tierre new roster cato-griff-james?collins?blount? moT-kt-collier(IL) lewis-rice-Tmo(IL) cat-oz steve-mooch-tierre
I agree with your analysis and and all your future wishes, german rocketfan. The thought of possibly acquiring Odom and the even birghter prospect of having a new and improved Eddie Griffin gives one reason to get pretty excited about next years team.
