If you were a Cavs fan, how would you feel if LeBron didn't resign?

I would feel disgusted. We had so many expectations but fell short and now is pretty much leaving us to go to a bigger market.

Cavs will be stuck in a poor situation.

Jamison long term contract. Same with Anderson.

The team would be a joke...

borderline commit suicide. it's like (hypothetical) us losing hakeem in his prime. and lebron is from cleveland.

and they'll suck big time. people will now see what lebron does for that team.

I could understand why he wanted to leave. But an hour-long fanfare on ESPN announcing to the world? I'd hate him for life.

I would have a few emotions

    Mad
    Sad
    Disappointed(Mainly)

But I'd also thank him for all the memories and what he did for the Franchise even though he never brought a Championship to Cleveland.

I'd probably feel like every Cleveland fan has felt for 30 years. Can not catch a mother fing break.

I have a friend who was born and raised in Cleveland and is, of course, a huge Lebron fan. His last words to me regarding this were "**** Lebron. I don't care if he goes after all this ****."

I imagine he might change his tune after a few months if Lebron really does leave but if he has turned on the guy I imagine a lot of fans have.

Yeah I've heard the city was pretty sour on him after his performance in the last few games in the Celtics series.

If he simply chose to leave you would be angry but would eventually understand. If he leaves after holding an hour long press conference he's going to lose a ton of fans. If he is indeed leaving this is one of the worst marketing ideas I've ever seen.

If I were as big a Cavs fan as I was a Rockets fan, I would still stick with the team and support them no matter what.

If I were a casual, LeBron-only fan (like probably 60% of all Cavs fans) I would just stop following the team.

I'm not a Cleveland fan and I'm a little irate at the fact that he's even considering it. I think Cleveland fans have supported him wholly and the team has given him a nice little supporting cast. Granted they didn't win the title this year, nor have they, but they are an elite team. If the fans treat him like a king, the entire Cavaliers organization treat him like a king then he needs to show a little loyalty. If he signs elsewhere, doesn't he leave tons of money on the table? That's like a slap in the face if you ask me. Of course just my humble opinion.

I would feel good. There is more to life than basketball. Get your priorities straight.

The city better get used to feeling disgusted because I have a strong feeling that he's out of there...

Sure he does. He's been told since an early age that he's special, he's given special treatment, he earns hundreds of millions of dollars, he's worshiped by fans, he's never told no on anything. Yeah, that sort of life will cause anyone to become a self absorbed a-hole.

Whether it's LeDiva or Clemens or Danica Patrick or any of them. The message is all the same, because they are talented and make a lot of money, the world revolves around them.

And do I blame them for this, nope. I blame us, the public. If we put people on pedestals, we should not be surprised when they look down on us.

As some here know, I am a Cleveland fan, and this sums it up. I'm not 12 anymore. I get the reasons why to leave. It would suck, but I get it.

And it's not like he hasn't carried the entire team since his rookie year. The city and fans showed him a lot of love. I think he matched it with his effort and showed appreciation for it. He made Cleveland relevant again. The Browns are routinely spinning their wheels at the bottom of the NFL and I'm not a baseball fan. So this is it as far as being an entertained Cleveland fan.

It's too bad his last few days, out of 7 years, were half-hearted and might define his career in Cleveland. It's not really fair, but everyone will move on one way or another.

Back to seeing the Browns and Cavs battling it out for worse team to watch.

We Houstonians have felt this before when Beltran left for the Mets.

Think the feeling would be kind of similar if not worse than this...
