So, Pacers traded last years draft pick(which was used to get kwahi leonard) to the spurs for george hill.

knowing how good kwahi leonard was gonna be in his rookie season, would you reverse the trade if you could go back in time?

george hill is better than darren collison, so what do you guys think? also, if they didnt do the trade, their lineup most likely would have been:

    Collison
    George
    Granger
    Leonard
    Hibbert

compared to what it is now:

    Hill
    George
    Granger
    West
    Hibbert.

    Knee jerk thread.

Leonard isn't putting up the numbers West is. And the Pacers are up on the Heat.

Also, don't underestimate the impact the spurs team/organization had on the development and numbers of Leonard.

Both teams are benefiting from the trade in different ways. For the Spurs Kawhi worked because they needed youth. For the Pacers Hill worked because they need veteran experience. Any other way and both teams may not be enjoying the same success they now have.

They both benefited. Good move on both ends.

That was a classic case of a move that made a hell of a lot of sense for both sides. You can only use A.J. Price as your 1st PG off the bench for so long.

The Pacers really needed David West. He gives them some veteran leadership which is generally overrated but sometimes needed.

West is one of the better offensive PFs in the game. The midrange jumper is usually gold.

Either way, the Pacers have set themselves up to be a pretty good team for the future.

LOL, nobody really loses in this trade, truly one win-win for both teams, UNLESS GHill demands unreasonable contract this summer as RFA (and it was known that he already declined 24 mil 4 yrs extention last fall from the Pacers), get it from other team and Pacers refuse to match it.

Spurs need length & youth, Pacers need some playmaking & playoff experience at guard spot, so the trade was really ideal (not to mention GHill is a hometown, Indiana boy). The way things unfold at this post season, it's a wash since both GHill & Leonard do perform on each respective team.

Long term wise, the Spurs might come up on top with the way Leonard progressing (such a fantastic, steep learning curve from this kid, doesn't he know this is a playoff, in which rookies should shrink to the occasion ??), he has a decent shot to become an all star level of player.
