    I just watched it today at work and couldn't stop giggling. Finally everybody had to come over to see what I was watching. We all had a good laugh.

    Apparently that's his "bit". Seems to do that in a lot of their gigs. Lead singer plays along:

    It really is if you watch close, he's playing all those hi-hat notes one the up stroke, the guy's a freakin' machine. I gave that style of playing a shot the other day, soooo much wasted movement but WTH, respect to that dude, even if he's a total spaz!

    Saw this a week or so back. He is extremely impressive. Stick tricks are hard to master.

    He's really good. Not only does he have the tricks down but he plays really well, too. Entertaining (and not at the expense of the drumming).

    I LOVE this video. First time I saw it, I thought the guy was just a complete joke. But if you do a YouTube search for his band, you see that's his shtick and he's probably a big reason why that (lame) band gets so many gigs.

    Like others have said, if you really watch him you can see that what he does takes a LOT of skill. That being said, I still laugh so hard my eyes water every time I watch the video.

    Believe me, that takes SKILL. :grin: I tried some of his moves at a gig Saturday night as a joke....and it didn't go so well....

    Yeah it's actually impressive, but I can't help getting the feeling that the guy's only thought in his head the entire time is FML!!

    LOL, that's what makes it so funny. When they zoom in on his face, he seems to be thinking to himself "Oh, JESUS...what am I doing here wearing this yellow sequin jacket and playing cheesy cover music to a bunch of old ladies? How did it come to this??"

    I can kind of relate, actually...
