    Hanoi - A Vietnamese man who took a fake tablet of the impotence drug Viagra was admitted to hospital after his erection lasted two days, doctors said Thursday.

    The 47-year-old man was admitted Sunday to Binh Dan Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City from nearby Vinh Long province, two days after taking the Chinese-made tablet, said a doctor from the hospital where he was treated.

    The man bought the pill from an acquaintance for less than two dollars (R12) last Friday and took it that evening. The man did not have intercourse after taking the pill, but could not get rid of the erection, said the doctor who declined to be named.

    Doctors performed a minor operation to drain some blood from the man's erect penis. They were not sure what was contained in the pill since no samples were available. - Sapa-DPA

    I was facinated by this disclaimer myself and did some research. Apparently the 4 hour point is the point at which perminant damage is done to some particular type of tissue in the general area, and would cause more severe problems of the kind that caused you to consume the substance in the first place.

    i just came back from Vietnam... and Viagra is everywhere. (No i did not partake)

    I do have to wonder about the safety of Saigon's hospitals though. They looked totally dirty and unsafe to me. No way someone is going to touch my penis without proper sanitation man.

    you stick a large bore needle into the shaft of the penis and suck the blood out. if you have an erection that lasts more than a couple hours you can get fibrosis(basically scar tissue formation) in the shaft causing it to be semi-stiff forever, and you can no longer have a normal erection. it occurs more often in sickle cell patients that anyone else, but that's b/c the sickled red blood cells can't escape the penis due to their shape, but the same fibrosis occurs, leaving a person with a useless penis.

    I remember reading a news where there's this guy who took a pill before making out with his girl. Both were later carried to the hospital 'intact' because the guy was too 'on' and can't remove his erect buddy from the girl.
