Why would you ask everyone's choice today for the MVP today but then predicate your own answer on something (playoffs) that isn't happening today (or even in the near future)?
Tim Duncan is the most valueable player in the league. His winning perecentage and multiple championship kind of proves his value
Brand is certainly my sentimental favorite. But barring any health problems slowing Duncan down, I'd give Duncan the edge.
Yeah, didn't Duncan just post a 20-20 on Brand in a winning effort? I'm gonna hafta go with Duncan WAY over Brand in the MVP department.
Duncan by a nose over KG. Tim's PER is slightly better, but the Spurs have the best D in the league (again). Elton's been brilliant, but he doesn't compare to TD/KG on the other side of the ball.
Nash again. What he's done without Amare this season is nothing short of amazing. Who knew that Boris Diaw was a competent player?
Sam Cassel is the true Clippers MVP...Elton Brand has been putting up similar numbers his career, and until now it hasn't translated into team success like this year. Cassell brought a winning attitude and mentality to the team.
If you looked closely to the past 20 plus MVPs in the league, you will notice they all belonged to the top 4 teams of league in that particular seasons. So you can forget bout Lebron, Kobe and Tmac for now. Top teams in the league now are: Pistons - Billups? Spurs - Duncan Mavs - Dirk Suns - Nash Grizzlies - Ga$$hole Clippers - Brand Looks like it gonna go down between Nash, Duncan and Brand for now!
I would say Iverson but his team is only at .500. I guess I'd have to go with Nash. Did anyone thing he would take his team to a 13-5 start without Amare? Nash gets the nod over Duncan and Dirk. But now that I think about it, Nash does have Marion. No, no, I guess I'd go with Brand. A darkhorse would have to be Camby.
