even if hes 75%, and he sits down with Rick and they go over everything and even if he has to come off the bench, you would have to be a fool to not take him. A healthy tmac makes this team better, like it or not.

Everyone is forgetting how hard tmac worked his ass off in the first half of the Jazz game last season while carrying this team for the past two years, while yao was a no show and couldn't grab a rebound in the closing moments of game 7.

If the ESPN reports are true, and if he accepts a smaller role, which might mean coming off the bench for 20min a game, you still take it.

ONLY if he commits to playing defense (didn't play it AT ALL this year) and agrees to move without the ball.

If not, I like our chances without him

Actually, I don't want him poisoning the locker room. Let him rot

Semi is 50% mate, not 75%. Even if he was healthy he would wreck team chemistry right at this moment.

What report are you talking about?

Tmac is a cancer, like AI.

I actually enjoy watching this young team, why would I want ball stopper playn 20 minutes a game....

What's semi-healthy? What he is now?

I don't believe he will accept a smaller role. He might say he well, but he says a lot of things.

I always defended the guy. I don't blame him at all for all the first round losses and I realize what he did LAST season.

But this year, he has not defended at all...literally not at all and he stands around behind the 3 point line while the other 4 guys run plays if he doesn't have the ball. Oh yeah, he also QUIT on the team in Toronto this year AND was allegedly the big problem in the locker room

    No thanks

i dont see any ESPN reports unless it was something on SC but

at this point i would rather see the team move on without him...even at 75% health i cant see this team working well with him at this moment. If he comes off the bench and only plays 10-15 within the frame work of Coach Adelman's game plan then maybe but then you know he will always be in the game in crunch time and probably will revert to "ball-stopping" offense.

also if whatever supposed reports are true what makes you think he would take a diminished role? it would be apparent that a lot of this knee stuff then was all just a game for him to not be traded/take pity on him since he didnt rehab properly.

so basically i would rather have him have the surgery rehab strong and come back 100% next season

Call me crazy then, I think he's a detriment to the team, healthy or not.

Why did coach and Morey trade away Rafer? Although I think most people on clutchfans were frustrated with his percentage, and believe that is the primary factor. But what the staff indicated is that they wanted players that are able to listen to and follow through on what coach wants, and to play an aggressive uptempo pace. McGrady, for his scoring and distributing attributes does NOT employ and aggressive style. He HOLDS the ball, and that is not what RA wants from his backcourt.

I'm completely willing to roll with this team sans McGrady, and I think anyone who thinks we need him underestimate what our squad is capable of.

I'd love to have him back this year at 20-25 min per game. You saw how short we got last year against the Jazz. Depth is key and he is still capable of going off. No brainer IMO.

i wouldnt doubt the surgery stuff was bs so he wouldnt get traded. If hes healthy then you bring him back this year

So you honestly think we can beat the lakers in 7 w/o tmac?

    seriously?

they'll throw Ariza on Artest and have kobe actually guard Wafer, and Yao hasnt proved anything in the playoffs.
