    I've thought about this. It would be cool to have a limitless supply of energy and not require sleep. But I was thinking through it, and if I had a limitless amount of energy that means I would never fatigue, which means that I would be the fastest runner and strongest man ever. And also, if I had infinite energy, I would like to think I could live forever with it.

    This power is too much for me to handle but I would probably dedicate it study.

    I would dance a lot more. I would mostly do interpretative dance, about things like me pulling a nectarine from a beautiful tree deep in the forest, when a little elf fairy would appear to me and say (in the language of the DANCE), "You are the fairest dancing maiden in all of the lands, please enjoy your nectarine with gusto!" So, then I would spend a lot of time doing the dance of the nectarine with gusto.

    Yeah. That'd be cool.

    I did an interpretive dance to the poem, "Trees" it is by Joyce Kilmer and goes like this:

    I think that I shall never see
    A poem lovely as a tree.
    A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
    Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;
    A tree that looks at God all day,
    And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
    A tree that may in Summer wear
    A nest of robins in her hair;
    Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
    Who intimately lives with rain.
    Poems are made by fools like me,
    But only God can make a tree.

    The nectarine of gusto is probably a more graceful dance. I mostly just made an a** of myself.

    I couldn't live in a world of no sleep or lounging around.

    I have not tried this sleep theory but it sounds interesting and possibly worth a try. I have tried my own weird sleep method though. I have found that I cannot operate on a regular sleep schedule if I am not forced to wake up in order to keep my job (fear factor wake up). I've missed school and other events countless times due to oversleeping, but I don't ever miss work. I've been late by an hour before, but never missed work. I'm currently working on a project that has zero schedule because I am the boss (perfect for me). So, I choose my own schedule of production.

    To choose my schedule, I don't. By that, I mean that I do not choose when to sleep, just sleep when I'm tired. I've heard that the normal sleep cycle for a human when there is absence of sunlight is 16 on, 9 off (study I read about), with off being sleep time of course. I've found that I usually do that (16/9) or stay up more hours. So, 16, 17 or 18 on and 7, 8 or 9 off. Funny enough, but the longer I stay up, the less I sleep. So, in 2005 I woke up within every hour of the 24 hour cycle at least once and probably more than that.

    It's odd, but I'm happier than ever when I'm on that schedule. I woke up this 'morning' at 12:30 am and will probably sleep around 5:30-6:30. It all depends on how exciting the NFL playoff games are.

    Any body else try weird sleep methods?

    Narrator: He was *the* guerilla terrorist in the food service industry.
    [the Narrator looks at Tyler, who's urinating in a pot]
    Tyler Durden: Do not watch. I cannot go when you watch.
    Narrator: Apart from seasoning the lobster bisque, he farted on the meringue, sneezed on braised endive, and as for the cream of mushroom soup, well...
    Tyler Durden: [snickers] Go ahead. Tell 'em.
    Narrator: ...you get the idea.

    Oh so many things... I'd be in perfect physical shape, extremely well-read, and much more immersed in my craft.

    I would GLADLY trade the thirty or so years of sleep for conscious time. Dying at 50 wouldn't seem bad at all with such a complete life.

    Sleep is fun. Why would you want to give up sleep? It feels so good to relax, take a break from everything that's going on, get lost in fantasy or see where your dreams take you... sink down into those comfortable pillows... think I'll go back to bed right now... :)

    What do you mean "if"? :D

    I read, goof off on the pc, drive around for the hell of it, etc. I sleep about 3.5 - 4 hours a day on average, but I'm trying to sleep more. :(
