Cost of living wasn't a issue ? Where would it be ? Cali for me hands down. Traffic is insane , but might have to deal with it.
San Francisco, if I could afford to live in the city. Otherwise Seattle. Love the weather in the Pacific Northwest. Portland is nice, but not near the ocean. Cost of living, taxes and gun laws are the only reason I haven't made the move. Spokane Washington is a great place as well (with a lower cost of living than Houston). Perfect for those seeking four actual seasons.
nyc for me. the reason i cant live there is not cost of living. but my son lives in austin and that is where i stay
Honestly I would like to just visit the other places the other posters mentioned. Nowhere else I'd like to live but in Texas and to pick a city I'd say Austin
The ocean is 1.5 hours away from Portland. Not too bad. If I could pick somewhere else It'd be SoCal.
Either New York City or Northern Virginia- I'll probably end up living in either after college anyways.
Well, Seattle is on the water - that is all I'd care about. Not like you are going to lay out on a Pacific Northwest Beach to soak in rays. Seattle is also a tech mecca, so better jobs (for me).
Cost of living isn't the only factor here. The bigger factor for me would be transportation to see family, etc. if there was a way to get on some kind of train to take me from Hawaii to Texas in an hour, then it's Hawaii
