Just occurred to me that I have not yet seen this issue discussed. If ( and let me emphasize an extreme amount of 'not-wanting-this -to-happen-EVER) Yao were to sustain some sort of an injury that would require surgery and serious rehab, where would that take place? Would it be here, under the supervision and responsibility of the Rockets? Or would have have to go back to China for this? Hopefully it would be here, but with all the 'red' tape wrapped around him, it wouldn't surprise me if there was some sort of stipulation that he would have to go back for something like this. Also, how would that affect these 'agreements' between the Rox and the CBA regarding the guarantee of him being available to play for China's NT? For that matter, if he were to be somehow injured while on one of his forays back home to play for the NT, where would he go for medical care, surgery, and rehab? Again, let me stress that I absolutely do not want to ever see him get injured in any way, however, with a body that size and weight and with the amount of pounding he is going to take over the years, it is almost a given that it will become an issue at some point. If anyone knows what's up with these issues, I for one would love to know the details. Ciao
