They are not going to make him wear McGrady's shoes after all of the foot problems he has had.

He would keep his mouth shut and not question his coach.

In Communist China Coach tell player how many minutes he plays!

First of all, Yao would never declare he's ready before he had a chance on the court.

Yao will play hard and train hard. He wont talk to media even if he gets 3 double doubles in 8 minutes.

you would think it but the pampering of top draft picks and superstars makes me think otherwise.

I think we are about to find out...Yao will be limited in the beginning so 10-15 min a game may be the most he will start out with. He will handle it fine, dude is all about team and will not complain but instead root on the troops.

Don't spread lies. Yao will barely make the lineup with DA as the starting Center. If Yao can't shoot the 3 ball, he is gone. Imagine trying to force fit a 7'6 player on the team. How does someone that huge not block the Chemistry on the court, less room to move, avoid his feet, dodge the chest bumps and lets not forget accidentally getting hit by his Wrecking ball knee cap.

Yao is one the most humble players ever. Tough act for any player in the league to follow. Interesting contrast.

The interesting thing is team heads kept saying they'll look at McGrady's 8 minutes a few games then make an "assessment". You never heard them outright say if McGrady looks good we'll increase his minutes accordingly. I think if Yao was given the same exact 8 minutes/6 games, he'da been disappointed to not get more but keep playing on.

And Yao would do it privately, wouldnt be demonstratively public with wanting minutes. And if Yao did speak about it publicly he'd use his wry sense of humor making a joke alluding to it and no more. i dont think McGrady is wrong one bit wanting more minutes. Just his approach wasnt that good.

We will see next. If yao plays more than 30 minutes a game and does not get hurt I will be suprised.

    Team Yao would handle it.
Yao would be silent about it, having learned how Adelman & the Rockets handled McGrady. :)

The Chairman of the Peoples Republic of China would have personal words with President Obama and the word would go out from the White House to the Rockets through Diplomatic Channels

This causes major changes in the power structure of the Rockets and Les is pressured to sell to a Chinese Owner---- the rest of the story can be heard on BBC next November

Yao would be really happy; same salary, less play time, and the team is still winning anyways... he probably can relax a bit before playoff.

    Why not?
