If Yao purposely miss the last freethrow, then we should have won.

Wouldn't the Blazers take more than .8 second to fight for the last rebound?

If Yao missed, it would have a 2nd OT and it's still anybody's game. But it would be a no-brainer if you could make a free throw for a one point lead with .8" second to go.

it would have been a tie game, which will lead to a second OT.
that means Yao would be playing even more minutes...
and then.. ppl on clutchfans.net will start bashing on how RA coaches the rockets... and it continues...

WHAT! It would've put us in double OT if he would've missed. He made the FT to put us up 1(99 to 98) til Roy hit the luckest shot of the year.

Instinctly, yao feels he should never miss even one free throw. That's all the national rosters character .

If Yao doesnt get fouled, we get double overtime because the clock stopped on the contact, rather than when it goes thru the net.

Brandon Roy could take that shot 10 more times and he might hit it again, once.

    Hmmm...

I guess that's one strategy - you try to win it outright in Double OT instead of defending a final shot on Defense. Of course, you have a game the very next night, so Yao went for the logical win, making his FT.

I still hold a firm belief that people should be unable to start threads before 500 posts. Lets them learn more.
