IF we trade the 1 pick who would you rather get Odom or Mcdeyess?

I think both of these players are good to get both having different talent. Odom is a lengthy small foward that can shot the jumper and also renbound down low. Mcdeyess is a much better rebounder an can also score and Cato down low. The only problem for Odom is we have Glen Rice with his contract and Eddie Griffen who I like that the Rockets want to progress to start their in the future. The Problem with Mcdeyess is we have MoT and KT at Pf thou I think we would package one of them in most likly KT. So finnaly if I could pick either I would pick Mcdeyess and trade the #1 and Kt for Mcdeyess and the fifth pick or something to that nature. Then at five draft Caron Butler who I think is going to turn into one of the best players in the draft.
Then lastly if you could get anyone to take Rice for a pick or even nothing it would be fine.

Rockets line up
pg- Francis, Mochie
sg- Cat, Butler
sf- Griffen, Butler
Pf- Mcdeyess, Taylor
C- Cato, 15th pick

Well, I would answer neither, but I know that's not you're asking. If we had to trade the pick, I think think McDyess is a better player than Odom. However, the only possilbe way we could get McDyess is if Cato or Taylor was included in the trade. It kind of depends on who we'd be giving up. I would be 100% dead set against any trade if it included Griffin AND the #1 pick.

I agree with DCKid and bigboymumu.
This is the way I look at it,both Odom and McDyess have played well in this league particularly McDyess who is more experienced, but I find it surprising why would the Clippers and Nuggets want to shop these guys around if they didn't think that they could of much use to them. You don't trade guys like that unless there is something very wrong.Dice is a max player and is coming off an injury and Odom has had all sorts of problems both with injuries and off the court.

Odom. In a heartbeat.

If we were to vilify NBA players and ostracize them for smoking grass, there would be no league.

Of course, if you're dumb enough to get caught....twice....

Neither, but if we do trade my choice would be Rasheed Wallace.

Ummm...neither.

Justin:

You love Caron more than I do, but I still say that a 7-5 center who has the potential to be a franchise player is worth taking the risk on.

Hopefully, we don't trade the #15 pick and draft Nachbar.

What if Nachbar or Jeffries aren't there at 15? Does the team take another big man or do they grab Chris Jeffries? Ideally we trade for Artest but if he's not avalible, I'd love to pick up Chris Jeffries. He's a team player who wouldn't need the ball too much, can pass and plays swarming defense. Don't discard this guy because he's not rated in the top 15 anywhere. He'd be awesome in H-town.

Neither is worthy of the number one pick AND players. Heck I don't think either one is worthy of the nuber one pick, but I'm sure others disagree. Now some of the superstars named above would peak my interest, but would be hard to make work capwise, etc.

GRIFFIN is a 4.

REPEAT: Griffin is a FOUR!!!

stop labeling or dreaming him to be our starting SF, it's not going to happen. He's bulking up so he can hold his own at the four spot this next year. Mo/KT - one of them is out, my guess is KT..

let's go from there.

Well.....could McDyess be a dominant center????
If yes, I would pull the trigger on that trade. If not, Odom could develop into a star in pinstripes. I know no one wants to hear stupid trade proposals, but I can't stop thinking about this. I really want Odom and Griffin at the fowards positions. What if we trade the #1 and even the #15 to the Clippers for Odom and the #8. This would solidify our team quite nicely. This proposal has probablly already been done, but think about it once again, if you've already heard this one.

Clippers could get rid of Odom's cap #. They could re-sign Kandi. Then, they could draft Jay Williams, the player they want desperately, and finally move Miles into the starting line-up. They could then trade the #12 and #15 picks for any pick b/w #7 and 10, where they could draft a back-up power foward, sf, or center.

Rockets would be set as well. First of all, they get a perrenial superstar in the making in Odom. He would bring balance to this team immediately. Teams would fear us once again. Then, we could be ain a position to improve our overall talent (something we need desperately) by selecting the best available player. In this case, #8 might be a little high for a center, however, players like Woods, Butler, Gooden, Wagner, Wilcox, and Tskitishivili MIGHT be available. I would be happy with any of them. The only piece missing to the championship puzzle is a true defensive, and reounding center. We could focus on this next year in free agency or offer trades.

First it's Odom, #8 & #12 for the #1. Now it's Odom and #8 for #1 and #15??????? That's brilliant.

Definitely Odom, I'd like to see a trade to where we could get Kandi as well.

#1, #15, KT

For

#12, Odom, Kandi
